Nice location within walking of everything.Posted Nov 12, 2013
Cons: Bathrooms could use upgrades
Location: Close to all restaurNts and bars.
Had a great stay. Hotel is charming. Rooms are very small but for the time spent in the room size was sufficient.

Eola a nice quiet placePosted Nov 12, 2013
It was what I expected. Older hotel so not perfect condition but nice and clean. Great location within walking distance of most everything in the heart of Natchez. Nice restaurants clues by and very friendly and helpful staff

Old Fashioned Hotel with Slow ServicePosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Hotel had character and common areas had some charm.
Cons: Quality of room furnishings, soft furnishings and the service from staff.
Location: Lots of empty buildings, many semi- derelict. Came as bit of a shock. Area seems very run down and lacks commercial vitality.
Staff were friendly but slow and not as attentive to customers as I would expect. Talking to one another seemed to be a higher priority at times. Food was very average. Room was small and old fashioned.

Unrealized potentialPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: I loved the location.
The lobby of the hotel is great - grand and almost glamorous. Unfortunately, the rooms don't live up to the standards of the lobby - at least mine didn't. My room was quite small, but that wasn't my problem. The bathroom had chipped paint and peeling wallpaper, as well as a flickering lightbulb. While the window drapes looked fine, when you looked closely, they were frayed. When I came back to my room at 5:30 pm after the first day, I found it had not been cleaned. So, I went down to the front desk to inform them and was told that housekeeping had gone home for the day. My facial expression much have explained that the answer was not acceptable since, an hour later, someone showed up to provide clean towels and make the bed. The HVAC also needed up-dating. If I had the fan turned to "on" I either froze (the thermostat registered 55 degrees at one point) or sweltered (the thermostat showed over 90), even if I had the system on "off." The only solution was to keep the fan on automatic and deal with the street noise and guests audible in other rooms when the fan wasn't blowing. While I loved having a balcony, if overlooked the courtyard where people from the hotel bar would go to smoke, talk, and laugh, creating an additional problem with the thermostat. It was really too bad because is seemed, from the lobby, that the hotel had all the possibilities of being a real grand dame, instead of the faded beauty that it had become.

Great Experience at the EolaPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Atmosphere of sharing history.
Loved all the furnishings and feeling of sharing the past. The lobby area was beautiful and also the outside courtyard. Enjoyed having a balcony area with a view of the courtyard and the city.

DissappointedPosted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: Antiques in the lobby
Cons: The size of the room and smell of the hotel and rooms.
Location: Location was good. Downtown and access to activities on the river.
Hotel lobby was full of beautiful antiques, however the room was so musty smelling it was almost unbearable at times. Room was small and walls were peeling, needed to be painted. Shower curtain was mildewed and did not fit the tub. Water was sprayed all over bathroom when in use. Toilet was too close to the wall, no room to put toiletries.

Attractive, old style hotel in the middle of town.Posted Oct 14, 2013
I have stayed at the Eola before and enjoy staying there when I visit Natchez. I like the location, the freindliness of the staff, and the odl fashioned comfort of the place. Those expecting a glitzy new hotel will not be satisfied.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I wanted to get a taste of historic Natchez and this was that and more. Beautiful antiques, delightful and professional staff and immaculate room. Could not have been better.

The hotel environment was nostalgicPosted Jul 9, 2013
Pros: The location
Cons: Parking facilities
Location: Eateries, museums
The parking was atrocious. I was also charged more than the price given on Expedia.
