The property was a beautiful period home, Laurie was kind & friendly. The room was clean & comfortable & the house was near to everything of interest to us. The breakfasts were delicious & Laurie made sure to accommodate food allergies. She let us check out a little late so we could change clothes before our ride when we left.

Amazing Stay!
We had an amazing stay at the Grand Nauvoo. The accommodations were exactly what we were looking for and the food was off-the-chart. The hostess provided for our every need and was very helpful in navigating the local scene. We loved our time there and will be back!

Home away from home in Nauvoo
We enjoyed our three nights at the Nauvoo Grand. It’s decorated beautifully and authentically, right down to the squeaky wooden floors and the period furniture. The setting is pretty with big trees and nice landscaping and the location was convenient to all the historical sites. Our host Laurie did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the fabulous breakfasts each morning and her making us feel comfortable and welcome in her home.

fits the ambiance and mood of Nauvoo.
While I was expecting a stay in an older house of historic nature, I wasn't really prepared for the older house amenities. the creaky steps and small size of our bathroom and bed were a little disappointing. The breakfast in the morning was amazing! delicious foods and good conversation with our guests made it feel right at home.

This is a beautiful older home that has been setup as a B&B. We really enjoyed our stay; this will be our first choice, if we visit Nauvoo again.

The Nauvoo Grand Bed & Breakfast is a bit away from the main area of Nauvoo, but it is located in a quiet and beautiful area. It is an old home and the outside is old, but the inside is beautiful, cozy and clean. Suzie, the caretaker, is sweet and perfect. She's also a wonderful cook. Our breakfast was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious! We stayed in the Ellen's Orchard room. It is beautiful. It does not have an attached bathroom, but the bathroom assigned to it (not shared with other rooms) is the largest bathroom. It also has a jetted tub & shower. As long as you don't need to make nightly trips to the bathroom, this room is wonderful. If you do, need to make nightly trips, this isn't the room for you, but any of the others are just as beautiful.

Wonderful breakfast. Quaint room. Welcoming hostess. Only down side our room and the room next door are separated by a door and you can hear each other when talking in a normal voice. We still loved our evening there.

My first time in a Bed and Breakfast and it was wonderful my 18 year old daughter was first freaked out about staying in the attic of an very old house . But it was a great space and well kept. Breakfast was wonderful

Step back 100 years......with indoor baths.
This is an interesting old house in NAUVOO with fun decor and great breakfast. There is not much in NAUVOO, but, I feel you are not a Mormon, there is a winery and Great bar across the street......may be the only bar in town. Went for the Mormon Pageant, it was fantastic.

I stayed in grandma's attic with my wife and four kids. The room says it can sleep up to four and we would have to pay extra for additional occupants. I tried to pay before hand but The system isn't set up to process additional occupants so I came prepared with cash. Before breakfast was served, the owner came through and treated us like like criminals as I payed for the additional two occupants. A minute or two later, she showed up again and wanted more money for two more occupants without an explanation. Bottom line do not stay here if you have a family, because the owner does not want your family to stay here.

Best place to stay in Nauvoo
This bed and breakfast is wonderful! It is clean, comfortable, old style and charming. The breakfasts are served at 8:00 am and are absolutely delicious, homemade, and filling meals. What a great start for the day! The bed was comfortable. The innkeeper is kind and courteous. The area is quiet and beautiful, and is a few blocks away from the main shopping area of Nauvoo. When I go back to Nauvoo, staying at this bed and breakfast will be a must!

Quiet and quaint location.
This was our first time at a B&B and it was wonderful. The rooms are just like they look in the pictures and the host was very helpful. It felt like you stepped back in time.

Just a quick trip
I wasn't in town for very long. But I loved this B and B. It was clean and well kept up. It's location wasn't far from town. But it was far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet. The property is next to a vineyard. Very picturesque! I enjoyed walking the property and seeing lightning bugs and humming birds. The breakfast was huge and very tasty!

An okay old home.
After we reserved the room, we were notified by email that they had switched us to another room. When we indicated that it would have been nice if they had "asked us" if we were willing to be moved to another room, they said that the problem was Expedia's since they were not up-to-date on the reservation system and someone else had reserved the room ahead of us. However, the morning when we checked out it was very obvious that no one had slept in the original room we had reserved. Breakfast was okay – not great.

Great old house made into a bed & breakfast. Great hostess. Rooms good size with tiny bathroom (but at least we had our own). Very creaky floors and we could easily hear our neighbors.

Nice B&B - perfect for the location
I liked this place. The breakfast was really nice and the place settings were well done.At this time of year it was only my son and I and another couple. I never heard a peep from them. We stayed in grandma's attic because I figured my son would like to sleep in a bed in one of the nooks, he loved it. I went to Nauvoo to check out the history and, well, everything is closed on Sunday so we saw nothing except from the exterior. If you're Mormon this is pretty important but for non-Mormons, this place isn't exactly loaded with American history. Due to us getting in late we had to cruise 35 minutes to get dinner as everything was closed except for Fat Jimmy's BBQ across the river in Montrose IA...across the river is 2 miles as the crow flies but 15 miles south and 15 miles back up north since there's not a bridge in Nauvoo. The Wifi worked great, there's a winery across the street that plays live music, no trouble with the TV/cable but we didn't really watch it, our bathroom was immaculate as were the bedroom accommodations with plenty of bedding/pillows.Overall I liked this place quite a bit.

The Nauvoo Grand Bed and Breakfast was fantastic. We had a wonderful time with our college-aged daughter at the winery across the street and were very comfortable in our room at the B&B.

Breakfast is absolutely amazing! The stairs and the entire wood floor creak like a haunted house. There is no privacy. Some rooms have a separate bathroom down the hall way and every room had paper thin walls. We could clearly hear the couple in the room next to us as they quietly spoke to each other. It is a fun looking restored house from the early history of area.

It was nice and clean. Friendly staff. It is an old house with charm. But with being old, it comes with squeaky hardwood floors and no insulation in the interior walls so you can hear the people in the rooms next to you. So this makes it not too quiet and private.
