Meh.

It was my second time staying here. Hotel location is good, - very central. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. If you arrive back to the hotel during the late hours, expect to see bouncers at the front door, - they will have to grant you access. The room was very poor. On both occasions we were given poor rooms. The first night we had an airconditioning unit outside our window along with nightclub noise. Second time I stayed I asked for the most quiet room available, it was quieter than the first night, but it was beside a busy main road. The rooms are in dire need of refurbishment (not just a lick of paint). ie. Bad sound insulation on windows. Broken fixtures and fittings. Curtains that refuse to close, windows that refuse to open fully. Bathroom doors that will not shut properly. Tv sets from the eighties. Noisey beds. Badly wired lighting - it took about 10 minutes of flicking various switches and sockets to get the lights on. Positives: The shower was excellent, as was the heated bathroom mirror.

Pros: Breakfasts are very good.
Cons: Noise, if you are too close to th nightclub.
Location: Location is exellent, right in the middle of town.
We spent four days at the hotel just after christmas and the first night we had a room quite close to the night club and we both didnt sleep a wink. After complaining at reception we were moved to a different room which was lovely and we didnt hear a thing. Most of the staff are very helpful and we have even rebooked to stay there again in February.

Can't wait to go back!

My family is originally from Navan, we do not have our house anymore to stay at so we needed to stay at a hotel this time. Newgrange is the perfect hotel! Its right in the middle of the town, walking distance to everything. If you don't want to eat at the hotel, there are plenty of other restaurants around the hotel. The people who work at Newgrange are amazing. Very friendly and very polite. Every morning we would go down for breakfast and the girls knew what we wanted to order. At night our family members would come over to visit us and we would sit in the lobby drinking tea and eating cookies, the staff was always asking us if we were ok and even joining us on some our jokes and laughing with us. This is a great place to stay!! You def need to stay here if you are in Navan.
