Housekeeping is slipping

This was my 4th stay at this hotel and I must say that the housekeeping is more than a little off. I understand that this is mainly an extended stay hotel and housekeeping is provided once weekly to these guests. But once one of these guests checks out, I would expect the room to get a thourogh cleaning and not just hitting the "high spots". Don't get me wrong, the bed was made, clean and comfortable and the bath was clean but the attention to details was non existant. For example, I had a smoking room, there were no ashtrays. I had to reconnect the last 2 drapery hooks and the lamp shade by the bed was crooked. Not a big deal to some and it really didn't bother me that much as I was just using the room for a nights sleep. The next morning is when I noticed the chair legs had not been dusted in weeks. Looking around the room, the situation was similar. Top of the TV, top of the fridge, the dresser drawer tops all had a thick layer of dust. Since I was checking out it wasn't worth making a fuss over and I will probably stay there again because it is so convenient to my relatives. But if the housekeeping and attention to details doesn't improve I will be staying at another nearby hotel after that.

Location: Farther away from the refineries in Port Arthur, perhaps in Beaumont.
Several guests were up at 4:30 am and left at 5:00 am to go to work, just way too early unless you are also on an early schedule. Back door had been jimmied, posing a potential security threat. Front desk was informed. Otherwise ok.
