I didn't know my Westway room had bed bugs in it until I returned home on Sept. 15th, 2022, the day I checked out. I woke up in the motel with bites on me and I thought they might be spider bites, but my doctor confirmed they were bed bugs and by that time I carried had them to my house in my suitcase. I reported the bites to Westway staff the morning I found them, called them again after my doctor confirmed they were bed bugs and called AGAIN the next day to talk to the motel owner. Each time the staff VEHEMENTLY denied the existence of bed bugs at their motel and said I had gotten them somewhere else. The motel owner still hasn't called me back. Their motel is clean, but that doesn't prevent bed bugs from living on their premises. In the 10 days since I left the motel I have spent $1495 in exterminator fees and I don't know if they are gone YET. I was reluctant to post this review because I wanted an opportunity to talk to the owner of Westway and get his assurances that the motel was dealing with the bed bugs, but he still hasn't called me. I did not have bed bugs when I checked into the Westway Inn, but I had them when I checked out. I did not bring bed bugs to the motel and now I want them gone from my house. I want to make sure future guests don't go through the bed bug hell I am currently going through and Westway MUST take my experience seriously if they want to stay in business. Avoid this motel and save yourself a LOT grief and MONEY!
