Location is good, close to the beach and restauran

Pros: location
Cons: Fix the bathroom fittings, replace the old fittings
Location: location is great. Near the reef to go snorkeling. The reef is not that great, but good enough to go see. Horse riding, live bands and music
the room was clean, but the hot water did not work, the shower did not work, the sink did not drain, the phone did not work. It took a long time (about 5 hours) for these to be fixed. It was not pleasant because we badly needed a shower, having come back from the sea. The staff were congenial. The food was average. The location was the best.

Pros: Three steps from clear waterfront.
Location: Breathtaking
It wasn't the most luxurious place I've ever been to, but the the price point was exceptional. The staff was warm and friendly and helped with anything that we asked for very warm. Maybe it was the season but it wasnt very busy which was a god send! Jamaica is a gorgeous friendly place, even with the natives being overly concerned with selling you everything under the sun. The moment when you respectfully declined it was all good. I couldn't have asked for a better place the sunsets are breathtaking.

Pros: I loved the beach being so close and the friendly staff.
Cons: The hotel's food isn't good and the waiter there was rude.
Location: The proximity to the beach is wonderful; the distance from the Montego Bay airport is not so wonderful.
Most of the staff were super friendly. For the first days we had almost no water pressure. There was no menu, only a buffet, and the food was poor at best, certainly not worth the price. The beach was beautiful but beware of people trying to sell drugs, many tried to sell us marajuana and other drugs. Our room was very clean. The grounds were beautiful with abundant flowers. Expect to pay $80 to get to Montego Bay, $250 to get to Mystic Mountain in US dollars from Negril (one way price).

Great Location - Horrible Bedding. Buy your own.

The bedding is yellowed and stained and pilled and the window and canopy curtains look like they came straight out of the 1970s.. gathering humidity and mildew just for you ! The staff seems pre-occupied with their own chatter between themselves. You are just interrupting "something", I don't know what to ask for a drink at the pool bar. My girlfriend and I sat there for a good 15 minutes once, never asked to be helped. Weird atmosphere. Like the owners are just running the place into the ground for some reason and don't care.

LOVED THIS HOTEL. Just make sure you check the room to ensure everyone is clean and functioning....but that's Jamaica. The staff is incredibly friendly and warm and will help you have the best stay possible. I can't wait to go back!

We started our stay at thr Ritz in MoBay. The Beachcomber is certainly not the Ritz. However, that is a good thing. The Ritz is nice, but it could be at ant beach. If you want the real flavor of Jamaica the Beachcomber is a classic "beach" hotel. The hotel could be updated and they are making an effort to do so. There is no better location. The owner Pat is great as well as the staff. If you love the beach it is the place to go.

I would stay at this resort again. I rented the studio (5SU) it was well worth the money. It was clean but a bit run down. When staying in Jamaican hotels you have to remember the standards are very different than the NY standards. Little things like low water pressure or lizard in your room is part of the island charm. If you want 5 star then spend the extra money. If you want a safe and clean place to rest your head this place is perfect. HiLow the food store is a quick ride away. We cooked amazing meals using the local foods. Saved a ton of money because we cooked. You can bargain with the man walking the beach and have a lobster feast while sitting on your patio. The staff went out of their way to make sure we didn't need anything. When we did they quickly responded. Hotel is right next to Margeritaville. Was not loud at all.

I like cleaner places to stay

It's old it needs uplift and attention to details and new furnishing. The rooms are big which is great the balcony is big which is great. The bathrooms smelled bad, mold in the tub/shower. lots of ants. There is ac in the bedrooms but no ac in the main house. No room service and bar was very poorly stocked. And for what we paid for 5 nights and 6 days there are better places.

Pros: best beach location - centrally located, has greater width and privacy , negril beach is typically narrow for the most part
Cons: not enough or insufficent towels provided
the room I was provided was not what I had reserved and paid for but I was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom when this was brought to the staff's attention, the room was great

Pros: don't have one
Cons: the bar
Location: the location is not bad in the middle of the 7 miles beach also jungle night club is right there.
They shouldn't be call club & spa because the spa is close, i couldn't get a drink made with ice at 11am in the day, the bar lady told me they don't have any ice, let not forget am in a 85 degree country, also the front desk is close at night this is the first time i been to hotel where the front desk is close. they give you two towel & one wash rag are you get one towel & two wash rag, this hotel have zero actives for the guest i could hear the crying baby from the next room like we was in the same room, this hotel is clean but it have no live.
