Pros: The pools were nice.
Cons: The hotel staff was friendly but if anything went wrong at all it was not their fault and they did not help to correct it;.
Location: Nothing close by.
Bad experience. Food was moderate at best. If you want total kid food it would be ok. The hotel is far away from everything in Jamaica ( i.e. Dunns Falls, zip lining, river rafting or kayaking, bobsledding, etc) If you book any excision away (regardless of the company sponsoring the trip) be prepared that they do not talk to the resort and the resorts time schedule and the tour will not be the same. We were on a bus for minimum 4 hours a day and up to 8 - 8 1/2 hours for any tour. Would have booked a more central hotel to any activities.

annual family vacationsPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Compliments to the chef at stew fish as they made the best festival, ackee and saltfish in the world.
Cons: More activities for adults The photo shop prices are ridiculously high
Location: The game room is nice. Margaritaville is close by. The beach is great and lots of water sports. The cabana service was great!
The staff was very nice. There is one young man at the BBQ who is clearly exceptional. Upon our arrival on Thursday he made us the best jerk chicken and he went far and beyond to welcome my husband by making a special extra delicious meals with seafood since he does not eat meat. I feel horrible as I cannot remember his name and would like to acknowledge him. He is tall is extremely friendly.

Well Run ResortPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife, 9-year old daughter and myself stayed for a week in late July. Overall, the resort was very well run and the workers were extremely friendly and caring. The food was generally good to very good. One exception was the specialty restaurant "Venetian." There is a new Italian chef in charge and hopefully, he can turn it around. The pools & beaches were well-kept and enjoyable. They have a full range of water equipment & instruction. With a little patience at peak times, it was no problem getting use of everything. The resort can be somewhat loud at night with music (even during the day) and it would have been more enjoyable for us with more of the "natural" sounds as a backdrop - others may feel differently. I suggest the 700 buildings if you want a little more quiet. The nightly shows at the Big Top definitely need some work. They aren't the same quality as we've seen at Iberostar resorts. Also the performance space had very echo-ey acoustics and retained a lot of heat, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Sesame Street has a big presence at the resort with shows & character interaction. So if your child likes Elmo & friends, it's a big plus. Bottom line: we had a good time and felt it was very professionally run. You won't have a bad experience unless you have extraordinarily bad luck or are impossible to please. You can book this place with confidence as a family vacation.

Negril - the most beautiful beach!Posted May 16, 2013
Pros: The people were all fabulous! JodiAnn was our server at the pool and she was so on-top of everything and extremely friendly.
Cons: The a la carte restaruants were not very good. The Japanese style restaruante should show tricks when cooking not just loud singing by the cooks!
Location: The location of the hotel is in Negril and it is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
From the moment of arriving to the moment leaving the hotel was perfect! The food was amazing especially Arizonas, the BBQ Joint and French Pastry Shop! The Beach was clean and beautiful and the people were so friendly that it is a destination that I would be sure to come back to.

My stay at BeachesPosted Apr 6, 2013
Pros: food, beach, entertainment, watersports, friendliness, lots of things to keep kids busy, adult entertainment in the evening,
Cons: size of our room
Location: everything is in walking distance (beach, food, entertainment)
Overall the experience was AMAZING. My kids aged 10 and 12 will remember this vacation for years to come and talk about going back next year. The entertainment and friends they made were great. There was always something to keep them busy and outside. My husband and I really enjoyed our time. Very relaxing and great weather. We took in a couple day tours which we enjoyed. My one and only complaint would be the size to the room. For 4 people it was quite tight. I like a little more space. We had a grandluxe beachfront room. As for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff they were so AWESOME. We got to know each other over our week stay, both my boys and husband were able to call them by their names as they did to us. Absolutely grateful for our family vacation to Negril. Cheers :)

Beach getawayPosted Feb 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel not close to airport but it was absolutely beautiful. Perfect getaway. Didn't need to lift a finger the staff always helpful and pleasant. You can do as much or as little as you want. The grounds are beautifully maintained. I saw a host of beautiful birds including the islands national bird. Great family beach resort. Though very pricey.

ParadisePosted Dec 7, 2012
Pros: The Sesame Street characters were a bonus to our awesome vacation with our two year old daughter.
Cons: For an all inclusive resort, the food was average, but I was not overly impressed.
Location: This resort is located on the west sideof the island and the sunsets are superb.
The staff was wonderful. If there is anything that they can do to make your stay at the resort more comfortable, they are more than accommodating, they go out of their way to make your trip enjoyable.

Misleading ad for water parkPosted May 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
Overall I enjoyed my stay, however, I was mislead by the ad for Beaches showing the water park. The way the water park was displayed on the internet , it was as if it was a part of the Beaches Resort.. The main reason I chose that particular hotel was for the water park that featured Sesame Street characters. It took me over two weeks to finally decide on Beaches Hotel. When I got there and found out that the water park (Kool Running) was not located on the property of the hotel and you had to pay a separate fee, I was livid! Although the floors were mopped everyday, I think the rugs should be vacuumed or swept as well - no one had a broom or sweeper.

Fantastic family-vacation destinationPosted Mar 6, 2012
Pros: Staff were great. service was extraordinary.
Cons: Room size was small and a little cramped.
Location: Great location
This resort has been my best vacation experience ever. Every resort or vacation that I have been to in the past do not compare to this one. It is great spot to take kids. One of the great features of this vacation was - YOU DON'T HAVE TO CARRY YOUR WALLET AROUND. This resort is truly ALL-INCLUSIVE. They are not trying to fleece you at every opportunity. The staff were extraordinary. Their service was prompt, and they were always smiling. Take the orientation of the resort as soon as you arrive so that you can plan for, schedule and enjoy all the free water activities offered. Even though they are all free some of these activities require advance booking. (like snorkeling, glass bottom boat trip)
