“I can't wait to go back”
I had a wonderful time at Coco la Palm. The staff are very polite and friendly. The grounds are well kept, room clean and very comfortable. Staying there is like being home away from home. I would recommend to anyone going to Jamaica. You would not regret your choice.
“Will definitely go back”
This is a great hotel in good condition and fairly reasonable. The restaurant is very good and inexpensive compared to other places at Negril Beach. The bar and lunch grill is great - awesome jerk chicken and jerk pork! We will definitely go back on another trip to Negril. Rooms are clean and staff is very nice and attentive. Location is somewhat far from Negril "city" not walkable.
“Jamaica Me Crazy”
This hotel is located on the 7-mile beach and all you have to walk out of your room and you are on the beach which is a very nice beach. Sand/water were very clean. The continental breakfast is a great deal because if you want to upgrade from continental to a hot breakfast you get $6.50 credit toward something from the menu. You also have your breakfast and dinner at the beach as the dinning area is open and your view is the beach. As for getting around Negril, you can walk to some local stores/restaurants but to get to some of the restaurants in the cliffs you will need a taxi. I did not find alot of things to do at night but I believe there were some locations that did have entertainment certain nights. All in all we had a great vacation and a great stay at CocoLaPalm. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. If I went back to Negril, I definintely would not have a problem with staying here again.
“going back soon”
What a wonderful place this is. I can't wait to go back.
“CocoLapalm is the best hotel on the beach in Negril”
We went during the slow time for Negril, during the rainy season, but don't let that keep you away. It only rains for @ 30 min max, in the afternoon, and to be honest, the rain just cools things off a little (less humid) and the clouds are help prevent over exposure to the sun. We really liked the options of the 2 pools or the ocean. Coco LaPalm's grounds are beautiful. Their beach is 1 of the best on the strip (for affordable hotels). In fact, many hotels only have beach areas with folks crowded in a small space. Not the case here. Plus you have trees to set your lounge chairs under for shade. The restaurant is right on the beach providing a spectacular view. All the folks working at Coco LaPalm are very nice & helpful. We met many pleasant folks staying there. Many were repeat customers, which says a lot about the place. While on the beach, around mid to late morning, be on the lookout for a woman walking the beach with a large basket on her head. She sells pineapples. And there's a man with a bike selling patties -- beef, chicken and vegetable (callaloo). Both very good & affordable. If you are looking for a special evening out, on the cliff side of Negril, try Ivan's Bar. The site is spectacular-great place to see the sunsets- and the dinner is suberb. Negative: Beds are really firm -- but from speaking with other guests, it depends on the room - some mattresses are better than others. We would stay here again.
“Cant wait to go back”
Excellent friendly service.
“Excellent Property in the Heart of 7 Mile Beach”
Coco LaPalm exceeded all of our expectations. Spectacular beach, excellent security, warm service, surprisingly good food and a very helpful front desk. We upgraded to a Jr. Ocean Suite upon arrival and got the best room in the house for a nominal fee. Security is tough and shakes away the pedestrian market whenever they loiter for just a moment too long. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this resort and how well it has been maintained. I would recommend Coco LaPalm for couples, families, and friends traveling together.
“Great Location but Hard beds”
Ok, , first of all I never compare overseas hotels to US hotels. For a Jamaican hotel this place is very nice. large beach front with one nice pool and one so so pool. Cant beat the location , , 300 meters walking distance to Margaritaville. However the down side. Construction next door until late fall 2011. Only woke us up twice the week we were there. . at about 0700. . The rooms are large with huge walk in showers great for couples but our beds were very hard, , so a if you can get over the few minor things , , it is a great low cost hotel with great location.
“CocoLaPalm Is A Bargain For Room Rates”
This was my 7th stay at CocoLaPalm. I keep going back because of the extraordinary staff, and location on 7 Mile Beach. Definitley book through Expedia because you will receive dailiy continental breakfast vouchersand also pay last hotel taxes than if you book directly with the resort.. The rooms are nice for the rate paid but the furniture and decor definitley need to be upgraded. Some beds are worse than others and always point out anything in your room that is not to your satisfaction to the front desk and they will make every effort to correct any issues. Turner's Exquisite Tours is a safe, and reliable, economic complant to use of airport transtation and tours. There are security guards on the beach te entire day to get your beach chairs towels and keep the locals from stopping every to sell their wears unless you want to look.
“Perfect Vacation...”
I decided to choose COCO LA PALM because of the reviews it had received on a number of travel sites. I was not disappointed at all. I would recommend getting a deluxe room for any traveler. My GF and I stayed in a standard room for the first 4 nights then upgraded (complimentary of the hotel) after I complained that the AC was making clicking noises and awakening us during the night. The deluxe room was perfect, more updated, clean paint finish and just overall much better. The staff is wonderful. Everybody is real nice and I enjoyed having conversation with all of them. Vernon makes the best dirty Banana and Gibson protects you from peddlers on the beach. The breakfast is really good. Did not try any other meal at the hotel I preferred walking a half mile down the road for traditional cheap Jamaican food. Do check out Rockhouse if you can. I felt very safe while on the hotel and beach. I had no problem venturing out, like any other place just be aware of your surroundings and be smart. Jamaican people for the most part are very friendly and genuine. I loved my stay here and will definitely be back again. Rooms are clean and better yet get cleaned every day. Staff is wonderful, very accommodating. Beach is excellent!! This is not a party party place, if you’re looking for a relaxed environment with a family like atmosphere I highly recommend this hotel and Negril in general! Thank you COCO LA PALM!!
