The worst experience ever!Posted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: NOTHING but, The other guests,
Cons: The staff for one. The Internet was down, seems to always be down... The place is clean enough but everything else is old and run down!
Location: Great location on the seven mile beach!
Where do I begin... I called at 10am to let them know we were in J at another resort, traveling up to Negril after spending the day with our family... So after a beautiful day in RoseHall we drove up to Cocolapalms to start our 9 days of quiet on the seven mile beach... At 8pm we checked in to be brought to a room on the street adjacent to the lobby. Let me add I booked this hotel 8/26/13, a king junior sweet, with a view of the beach! I hope I can properly express the series of events that took place from this point, till we left 3 days later! They had NO other rooms available! After a very long time spent in the lobby, being kept waiting, the manager came out, she was in the back the entire time, to show us her computer which she magically then, had one delux room! Because it was now 10pm, and this room was closer to the beach, we took it! At this time the hotel manager told us if we booked direct we would have a better room, the people who book through other venues get wats left, doesn't matter that we book 6 months ago!?! Which, I was told by Expedia is not what the case shoul be. After 3 days of going to the desk morning, noon and night to see if something opened up we decided to check out... At that time MAGICALLY a room opened up! A junior suite on the beach! May I add that while we were there speaking to other guests, we were told this is a regular practice of this place... We were beyond DONE with this hotel and the hotel manager!

Could not ask for anything better for a HotelPosted Feb 13, 2014
Pros: The grounds were kept very clean and neat. The both of the pools were wonderful. The only thing they could have more tables and chairs around them.
Cons: More chairs & tables around the pool and also by each room. We had no chairs in our room and only 2 outside ones. More chairs in the rooms also.
Location: The location was great, close to anything you would want.
We had a great experience with the Hotel. All of the staff were great. If you asked for something you got it, if you asked a question and they did not know they would find out for you. The food was great, the prices a little on the high side, so we only eat 1 dinner there. The rooms could be a little cleaner and sprayed for bugs. We had lots and lots of ants. I did asked them to spray and they did once. But over all it was a great place and I would go back again. Great beach to be on.

Good location loved the beach and oceanPosted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: Location on the 7 mile beach . Location as to other restaurants .
Cons: Mirrors on wall close to bathroom - add plugins in the room . Ice machine readily available to guests -remember this is a hotel !
Location: Restaurants shopping easy to get to the mall taxis readily available
We found the staff not as friendly as other places we have been . Also found getting ice to be a problem . The bartender was not friendly but very good at his job . The reception people were very nice and tried to be helpful. The hotel needs upgrading lack of plugins in the room ,beds were uncomfortable . Slow staff at breakfast sometimes . Not sure that we would go back to this hotel because of these issues.

Nice hotel close to beachPosted Feb 9, 2014
The bartender has little or no personality. We were ther with 6 other couples and everyone agreed he was rude and unfriendly. Ended up going somewhere else most of the time.

RoomPosted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Our housekeeper Beverly. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Get rid of the web camera at the Adult pool. Add some water sports, i.e. kayaks, paddle boards.
Booked a King Junior Suite in August 2013 and travelled in January 2014, we did not get the room we paid for. We we're told that they didn't have that room available. Very disappointed.

Hotel was nice but disappointed in room.Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Quiet, clean, well gardened. Staff friendly and good food. Beach beautiful and lots of chairs. In a nice location on beach. Staff had good security.
Cons: Could have given us a equal room or up grade because there were quite a few rooms available. Very disappointing
Location: Lots of restaurants, bars,shopping
Room in alley next to other hotel. Our room was 15 meters from their kitchen. Dish washing and talking loudly was heard from 8-12 p.m. and started again at 06:00. Complained 3 times. Finally demanded new room. Given room that was very small, double bed instead of queen and no microwave. Was next to room with small kitchen and a door accessible into our room but not given right to use. Kitchen never used by anyone during our stay. Better rooms rented to drive-in quests while we were there. Very disappointed with lack of interest to make things better, room wise!!!!

Wonderful time at the Coco LaPalmPosted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: The beach location is the best. The staff are friendly and always want to help if they can.
Cons: New pillows in the rooms and some hooks in the bathroom to hang bathing suits. All inclusive would be nice as well.
Location: As I said before the locations of the hotel on this beach is perfect. Eat Jerk chicken across at the Best in the West.
This is our second stay at the resort. The first time we stayed in the standard room and it was not the best. Clean but very well used and poor design. This time we stayed in a deluxe room and enjoyed it much more. Bed in deluxe room comfortable. The staff, ground and food at the resort are very good. The beach is outstanding. Will probably stay here again.

Great locationPosted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: Location and very laid back.
Cons: Could look to do a general update across all the rooms.
First room had a musty smell and after hey tried to re-clean it the smell was better but still annoying so they moved us to a junior suite and the rest of the stay was great. This location is perfect and since it is not all inclusive we stopped at a grocery store and stocked up and it was perfect. Not once do they say anything about having your own drinks on the beach. The walk in the mornings is great because you on beach front the entire time.

The room the first night was hideous.Posted Jan 26, 2014
Pros: The grounds are pretty and the location is good.
Cons: Staff morale. This is Negril, not New York City.
My wife and I had a 2-night stay at Coco LaPalm. The first night they placed us in Room 214, a smoking room (we reserved non-smoking) in an isolated area of the hotel complex next to the storage facilities and directly on the road . Worse, the room stunk of sewage and insecticide/chemicals and nearly made us gag. When we complained we were told no other equal or lower grade rooms were available, even though we checked in before the official 4 o'clock check-in and even though we saw that there were many empty rooms that night. We moved the second night to an acceptable room but only after the hotel first asked us to vacate the horrid room so housekeeping could prepare it for the next unsuspecting guests. It is disgraceful that any guest is placed in that room. That first night room was one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.
