“Close to Paradise”
The resort grounds are beautiful. The beach and ocean are amazing. The food is delicious; we did not have one bad meal and there are plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. The service on the beach, in the restaurants, and at the bars was great. The fron desk staff is in dire need of customer service training; every time I had to deal with them there was an issue. The rooms, especially bathrooms, need updating (and we stayed in the newer section). There are no non-smoking rooms.
“Second time at Couples and loving it”
This is our second trip to Couples, first was to Couples Negril last year. CSA has amazing long beach, impeccable service, we really enjoyed it. Our room was a great verandah garden suite and it was very lovely, the bed was comfortable and linens were very nice. Fully stocked minibar every day, anything we wanted. This resort gives you a feeling of being quite secluded due to its spread, however, the noise from the road can still be heard two buildings away. It did not bother us, however, I would not want to be staying any close to the road. Other than a one of a kind beach (spotless, no seaweed and even free of shells) we loved the fact that activities such as water skiing, diving and snorkeling are included in the stay. There were 6 sail boats to take out, water sports staff was very accommodating. This resort is not big on entertainment, so if you are looking for a party at night, probably not the place to be. They had live music several times during our stay. But if you are not big on entertainment and looking for an extremely relaxing "home away from home" kind of stay, I would diffidently recommend this hotel. We had the best vacation to date there.
“You will enjoy yourself, but. . .”
The room I stayed in was in need of a facelift--the bathroom door did not close, very little light in the bathroom, and touch-up paint was needed throughout. There were tiny ants crawling on the table next to the TV. The building that I stayed in was very loud in the morning. The outside hallway was made of tile, so every small sound outside the room was echoed loudly into our room. If you want to sleep in past 9:00 a.m. or so, and if you are a relatively light sleeper, it will not be possible. The staff was always nice and friendly. The food was good, and the main restaurant always had a band playing nightly. The beach was nice--but lacking shady spots. There are a few cabanas available--I got up one morning at 6:30 a.m. to reserve one--the others in the area had already been reserved by that time. All the other tourists at the hotel that I met or spoke with were American--mostly southerners. If prefer a little international diversity when traveling, perhaps other hotels in the area offer this.
“Perfect honeymoon”
The value of our experience can't be measured. We went to Couples Swept Away on our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute. It's a beautiful resort. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is fantastic. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!
“My Home Away From Home, "Can't Wait To Go Back"”
We just love Couples Swept Away, where they swep you off you feet with great service, great activities, great food at all resturants.
“Will DEFINITELY Return!”
The staff was excellent and kind and the rooms were incredible. I have only been back to the states for a day and have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family. The water sports available all inclusive were excellent and the food was amazing. I will definitely come back to this hotel next year!
“Wonderful Resort”
I did a ton of research on where to go in Jamaica and this resort exceeded my every expectation! The beach was gorgeous - white sand and crystal clear water. The staff were so helpful and nice. The room was clean and comfy. The food was delicious and we were so happy with all the healthy options. SCUBA diving was great - so much to see and the dive masters were awesome! (especially Anthony). I HIGHLY recommend this resort and we will def be back!!
“Just OK.”
The hotel itself was very beautiful, and fairly clean. There were ants everywhere, even in our bed. We told the housekeeper who said she would spray some bug spray but she was not overly concerned. The bed was confortable and clean and there were no bed bugs (my husband is in pest control). The restaurants were very comfortable and served good food. However, we reserved an oceanview room, and we could not see the ocean at all except for maybe like 1 little inch. Says "partially obscured" more like completely. The beach was beautiful and they raked it nightly, but they do allow people to walk up and down the beach so be prepared to be accosted by people selling all kinds of stuff. Overall a very good price for the money. Also they do not mention that they put a $300 hold on your credit card when you walk in the door - good thing we brought one with us.
“Can't wait to go back:):):)”
This place is to me the best in negril, the staff Is amazingly helpful and courteous. The food is 5 out of 5 stars everything was delicious, the rooms were super clean the grounds were kept meticulously maintained, security always there to keep u safe.can't wait to go back as soon as we can!
“Couples Swept Away........you get everything”
I'm very fair when writing reviews. CSA is great. They have a lounge at the airport to get some beers after a long flight and then the ride to Negril on the shuttle is not bad at all. Food- they have everything for everybody's taste. They have fine dining or the Cabana Grill by the pool and everything in between. Staff- is great everywhere. They learn your name, your drink, what you like to eat, and make really good cocktails. While on the subject of booze this is one of the best all inclusive I have ever been too. They have all the premiums liquors and make the drinks just right. Activities- there is a gym, lap pool, tennis with lessons if you want, there is snorkeling, scuba, catamaran, water skiing and everyone is really cool to teach you or give you lessons if you need them. The beach is one of the best, there are plenty of chairs and floats to go around. This is a very romantic place for couples....this is not a party place. Our honeymoon was suppose to be 6 days and because of the hurricane up north we got to stay an extra 5 days. I'm glad it was at this place and we will be back. There are alot of people we met that come back every year. All the rooms seem very nice so there is no need for upgrades. The rooms are not luxury but are nice and are cleaned at least twice a day. I will be back to CSA and it is a great choice for the money.
