Good, but...

Food is poor and service is slower even than Jamaica standards. Location is nice on the rocks but in the end we would have preferred staying on the beach side of Negril.

Really nice hotel on a cliff

Posted Jan 21, 2014
All of the staff is very friendly. I truly felt at home. Chris drove us to the hotel from Montego Bay and took us to Mayfield Falls. He truly cared about us having a good time. Monty and Richard were awesome at the bar and also so friendly. Tina was great at organizing our activities. Lara, is a wonderful cook. I would definitely come back.

Expensive motel next to cliffs

Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: Cliffs, sea and the suites that overlook to the ocean
Cons: Junks and trashes in the place.
Location: Next to a very busy road with couple okish restaurants around
This place is a motel in US standards except the suites and the penthouse rooms. Rest of the rooms are in bad shape. So try to avoid them. Rooms get cleaned nicely though. Although there are some trashes and junks at the back of the place. It is not visually pleasing to see them to be honest. Cliffs are amazing. Although there isn't much space there to lay down when there are at least 6 other people there. Sea is suberp. You can literraly snorkel in front of the sea or do cliff jumping from the rocks. That's quite nice. Staff is ok. They're friendly but no one from the staff stays after 5pm other than the secuirty guard and the restaurant workers possibly because this place is too small to afford another personel for the night shift. Restaurant on the premises is ok. We ate breakfasts there in the morning and dine there couple times. This place is next to a very dangerous road with no sidewalks and cars dashing. There are couple other restaurants nearby but use taxis to get there especially on night. Taxis are very cheap especially if you negotiate.

A great little hotel with a big view

Posted Oct 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for two nights for a business trip so I didn't get a chance to really soak up the experience. The resort is on a small lot, but that helps to create a cozy atmosphere. The staff was very hospitable. Very quiet and relaxing. My room (#9) was spacious with a comfortable king bed and perfectly plush pillows that made me sleep the entire night. The rest of the room furniture appears to have a rustic simple wood design. It also included a small flat screen and air conditioning (thank God because Hotels.com failed to specify when I initially found the place). Simple bathroom, but very clean. Small pool, but the design fits the overall space nicely with the landscaping. The cliffs are the main attraction. Crystal clear waters that are calm in the morning and slowly intensifies to a mild chop. There are stairs cut into the cliff wall that wind you down to a landing and a ladder to help you climb out once in the sea. Snorkeling is a great idea. The restaurant speed was the only aspect that needs improvement. My breakfast on both mornings were very delicious and well plated, but it was a very long wait. Probably would have ordered in advance if I had known. Luckily I had time to kill before heading to the airport but I would have preferred to use that time doing something else. Overall, I'd stay there again if I had another business trip in Negril.

Great Place to Relax and Snorkel

Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Great location, and the staff were wonderful!
Location: On the Negril cliffs, directly on the water. It's possible, but not pleasant to walk to town, Seven Mile Beach, Rick's Cafe, and other places.
We stayed at Home Sweet Home in July, and greatly enjoyed it. The location is wonderful, directly on the cliffs above the ocean, with stairs leading down to the water. Snorkeling was great - clear, calm water, and lots of fish and other sea creatures. On one snorkeling excursion, a pretty little fish (purple, yellow and orange - don't know the type) followed us around, swimming directly in front of and next to our face. We also saw a rather peculiar fish, always in the same place in front of a little cave. Later we found out that it was a puffer fish, one of the most lethal creatures of the sea.

Nice small hotel not too far in west end. Great views. Don't be fooled by tiny pool...its deep!!! Great for chilling. This hotel is not posh but the service is great. Tina who I believe is the manager was very helpful...easy check in. The chefs...waitresses...guys working the bar were very attentive. When we wanted conch for dinner and they were out...the chef made sure to have it the next day and came over to let us know. I thought that was a nice gesture. Food was great and Nice variety of dishes available. Good security...no issues with that. Its slow season so we almost had the whole hotel to ourselves but we didn't feel like the staff slacked off because it wasn't busy. Really loved the service here. We never stayed on the cliffs before so it was a nice change of pace. Nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the beach and just chill alone. Great hotel if u want something small and intimate for a cheap price.

Amazing vacation @ home sweet home

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful and reasonable this resort is! The staff is fantastic, friendly and always greet you with a smile! The oceanview off the cliff side is breathtaking and romantic. The grounds and rooms are clean. Fresh towels are provided daily. A/C and everything is in good working condition. The food was good! There is 24 hour security. The wifi connection was in and out. I was totally ok with that..otherwise I would've been checking work stuff. It made me put my phone down and enjoy the beauty around me! I'm SO glad we didn't book a resort off of the beach because there is too much traffic coming thru over that way. My love and I were really able to come back to the resort after touring Jamaica and have peace! We will totally be back at home sweet home resort again! They made our first trip to jamaica a wonderful experience! :)
