Great place on Bloody Bay.Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Entire staff was great and friendly. Can't beat the location. Hard to leave.
Cons: Possibly a better way to make reservations at the restaurants.
Second time to Riu in past two years. Great location, great facility and great staff. Many of the staff remembered us and were extremely attentive. We also went down to Riu Negril and had a fun time there. Snorkeling trip was a great time also. We will definitely be back.

beautiful,best food,fantastic beachPosted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: staff was so friendly. Nice layout of hotel and grounds. Lots of activities. Very nice rooms and comfortable beds. Beach was well groomed. Food great
Cons: Brief periods of loss of water in hotel or hot water. Maybe a little better entertainment.
Location: There are things to do but for 6 days we just happily stayed at the hotel.
staff was so friendly and attentive. room was very nice. beach was amazing with very soft sand and warm beautiful color of water, also no rocks or pebbles just soft sand in ocean and on beach. food was so plentiful and really good! huge variety, I can not see anyone having a problem here, even the pickiest eater. We have come here seven times now, just got home, I want to go back. highly recommend.

Best vacation ever!Posted Mar 4, 2014
We had such a great time. The service was friendly, and happy. The food was terrific. We ate at the Japanese restaurant and the steak house and both were fabulos. The entertainment was mostly great last year was a little better. Water sports were fun! Second time there and left really happy with everything except come home to the cold!

Best trip for the pricePosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Everything! There isnt anything bad to say about the hotel, staff, service or experience.
Location: Many different excursions that can be booked from the hotel lobby where the taxi/shuttle will pick you and drop you off plus many onsite activities!
The hotel was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were clean, well-stocked and the all-inclusive stay was worth every penny. The food was unbelievable; from island culture to standard American dishes, the choices were vast. Lunch and dinner buffet were amazing but the special reservation only restaurants on site were even better. The staff was kind, courteous and friendly. It was apparent that the entire staff wanted the guests to have a great time and feel relaxed. The pools were very clean and just steps away from the beach and ocean front. There was no reason or want to ever leave the resort and nowhere else could I ever imagine vacationing. The price, service and location were ubleieveable. Hint to future guests: just because the alcohol is included and you CAN have as much as you please doesnt mean you should! :) (I had to learn the hard way!)

Not up to Riu Palace StandardsPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: The beach was great though!
Hotel looked run down & wasn't what I'd expect from a 4 star resort especially for a Riu Palace

Beyond expectation and imagination.Posted Feb 23, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and the entire staff, they truly have a great team effort. They made you feel at home and constantly made sure you were satisfied.
Cons: I believe they have it perfected although I could have used a Budweiser instead of nothing but Red Stripe.
Location: The location feels secluded and private, we didn't really tour the local area much as this trip was to just relax and hang on the 7 mile of beach.
Our first trip to Jamaica and I don't know where to begin, words cannot express the feelings we had when we were there, it was absolutely amazing. We loved the RIU Hotel in Negril Jamaica so much we have joined them and will solely use them as our vacation destinations and grab frequent user points for some free nights. The facility is emmaculant and the culinary experience in the buffet dining area is enormous and quite satisifying breakfast, lunch and diner with a different theme each night. The chicken bbq shack at lunch time is the spot for jerk chicken so good! The restaurants were also good if you want to feel catered and waited on but you will need to get up early to get to the reservationist desk by 8 am as they only book them 1 day in advance. This is truly a real nice place to go, they make you feel special and are prompt when you require any service for your room. Plenty of tour guides in the lobby to book day trips, we utilized the catamaran cruise over to Rick's Cafe and the sunset on the way home was stunning but check on the weather as during February it is not uncommon to have a short rain shower and can call for choppy sea. It is worth every penny and a great destination to revisit time and time again...

Beautiful property on the best part of the bayPosted Feb 17, 2014
The Riu Palace is absolutely the best hotel we have stayed at in Jamaica. It out-did Sandals by 200%. The food was the best I have had, the room service was very fast, the staff was very friendly and funny, the Watersports and tours were excellent, the pools were very cool, and the entertainment was great! Only two downsides: the Mosquitos were bad, bug spray helps. And there was not a hot tub by the pool to enjoy. We will be coming back every year for sure! Yea Mon

Wonderful honeymoon getaway!!Posted Feb 17, 2014
If your ready to enjoy breathtaking clear blue waters, a white sandy beach, delicious eats and fun loving hotel staff then the RIU Palace in Negril is the perfect vacation spot! My husband and I recently spent our honeymoon at the RIU and were more then pleased. The hotel staff is always more then happy to assist with any of your requests, but most impressive was that most remember you by name. You are encouraged to join in the activities but if you decide to opt out, you will regret it because they are a lot of fun! The food was beyond delicious, our favorite restaurants were the Japenese and Krystal. Book these early, as they tend to book up quickly! The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were also spectacular. You will not go hungry nor thirsty at this resort!! Props to our beach waitor, Michael, you were a pleasure. Rooms are clean and the hotel staff refreshes the room twice daily, turn down service in the evening. My husband and I would definately return in the future!!

Great Vacation!Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: The entire staff was amazing!
Cons: The nightly entertainment wAs juvenile. The beds were not comfortable and the linens were worn.
Location: The hotel is located on one of the most beautiful beaches. Not much to do nearby.
When I first arrived to my room I was a little disappointed. Although it was emaculately clean it was a little small and not so luxurious. After my first day there I decided that the room didn't matter. The hotel was set on one of the most magnificent beaches that I have ever visited and the staff was soooo warm and friendly. As a New Yorker I usually don't like food on vacation but I was pleasantly surprised. Food And service were great!

Paradise in ParadisePosted Feb 7, 2014
Cons: Responsiveness to request for maintenance (the deadbolt on the door malfunctioned).
Location: No idea - we stayed on the reservation - save one excursion (which was awesome).
The staff were pleasant - from the front desk, to the entertainment, to the kitchen! We loved the facilities, the scenery, and the Island hospitality, Mon :-)
