Lacking guest servicePosted Jan 11, 2014
Pros: It was a few steps to the beach
Cons: The staff needs to be better trained on service. The towel attendant said they were out of towels and it was not his fault...
Location: Negril is great as a town. Ricks Cafe, Margarita Ville, and other places close by were great!
Room was not ready at check-in time. We requested towels and they were out for two days because of the hotel taking inventory. Why wasn't inventory taken in the night when the beach was closed, and when less people were using the pool. Overall, we had a good time only because we were visiting other places and not at the hotel for the most part.

Second chancePosted Jun 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
I gave a second chance to this hotel after my not so good stay in March. Since this time we stayed in June, the low-season, we had the amazing pleasure to be upgraded in a Ocean Front room with a bigger balcony. We had better service at the front desk and restaurant. The weather and the beach was perfect. We really did enjoy our short stay visiting Negril. The only negative thing was that our lock on the patio door was not working. Other than that, we are really satisfied.

The beach is beautiful and the small wall offers some shelter from the vendors on the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was fine. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Would recommend this property for those not wanting an all-inclusive. Good value.

It was okay.Posted Mar 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
When we arrived at ROOMS around 4PM, our room was not ready. We waited and then checked in. The cleaning staff was just out of our room, door still open. We saw that it was not a King size bed room like we have booked but a two beds room. We asked if there was a mistake but the cleaning lady just ask us if the room was okay for us...well...yes it was in fact alright, just not what we expected. The pool was nice, we spent a day by the pool even if I drove all the way to Negril for the beach...There was a cold front so a lot of wind and waves made the beach not calm enough to swim safely. The continental breakfast included in our price was not worth it. You wait so long for it, you are starving and when your plate finally arrives, it looks so small. You have a couple of bread slices, a pastry and two fruit with orange juice and coffee if you are lucky. On our check-out date, around 10:30 AM, the cleaning lady aked us if we were checking out soon because the next guest for our room were already here. Check out is at 11 AM, we asked if we could extend just for 15 minutes, they did not want to, and told us to check with the front desk....I did not want to fight only for a 15 minutes deal. The check-in time at 3PM? Why those guest were getting special treatment? I was not happy about this. The only good thing about this hotel is the convenience of their location, right on the seven mile beach and tons of restaurants and activity nearby.

Ideal for students on a budgetPosted Mar 16, 2013
Pros: The proximity to the beach front
Cons: The price of wifi was a bit rediculous...15$ per day!!!
The staff was very helpful and the on-site security was a huge comfort.

The Ice makers didn't work one day, and TV remote in room broken. $25.00 fee per night for 3rd person in the room.

First Time for Rooms - certainly not the LastPosted Feb 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
All aspects of our stay were excellent, we were pleasantly surprised by the property, it's on the beach, nice size room with an updated shower, well maintained grounds, large pool, excellent food, fully stocked bar and very pleasant and helpful staff, we are going back to the area in May and will be sure to stay at Rooms

A very nice hotelPosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is fairly new so the room had modern furniture, a nice flat screen TV and modern bathroom. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator and an ice machine nearby. The location on the beach is great.

A great hotel... but learn "No, Thank You" quicklyPosted Nov 29, 2012
Pros: Room was clean, bathroom was above standard for a smaller hotel. Walled in beach area for anti-vendor relaxing. Security was helpful but not obtrusive.
Cons: Constant vendors were a downer. The usual daily ones were great but the trinket, "smoke" and relentless boat guys really took away from the beauty.
Location: Local food was excellent, people werereally nice- but salesmen for sure. Beach was beautiful. Would not feel comfortable bringing teenagers.
Hotel was excellent- whole property was clean and room was perfect. AC was SUPER! We had a garden view room, and the patio was nice to have- they even go so far as to have the special "anti-bug" yellow lights out there so you don't get eaten up. Would pay a little extra to have one of the ocean facing rooms for sure. Having the low "wall" was really nice to keep out of the vendor path when you wanted to. Security was top-notch- both in the front by the street and on the beach side. Breakfast was fine, with all the options from the "usual" vendors for add-ons (fresh juice, patties, banana bread etc..) it was nice- and coffee was great! Went to ther places for lunch. Would love drink service within the "walled" in area of the beach- we'd never get up!! Over all, great hotel and great service for a smaller caribbean hotel. It's not a grand lux place with all the bells and whistles, AI kind-of resort, but we didn't want that- so if your looking for a great smaller hotel, this is a great find. Negril beach was very pretty- though the nonstop vendors ("smoke" seller, boat guys, trinket ppl, etc.) really took away form the beauty of the location.
