FUN!

Posted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Reggae......live music at the pools, any music....we need music!!
Location: There is so much to do on site; we never left.
Our vacation was perfect. The other guests and the staff were such fun. We could not have had asked for a more perfect time! Aneshia, Lois, Javid, Ojay, Dewayne, Michael, Orlando, Carmesha, Ian, Simone, Arneesha, Big Pappa...these new friends took care of our every need and kept us laughing the whole time. The pool and ping pong tables, sailing, kayaking, SUP, food...it was magical. Thank you! And see you soon!

Perfect place to relax

Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff and great food and beverage selections.
Cons: The room was much smaller than expected and our bathroom was really in need of maintenance. We reported it several times and it was never fixed.
Location: The hotel offered us everything we wanted. Water activities and nightly entertainment.
This hotel offered all the amenities you could ask for.

Excellent honeymoon

Posted Jun 23, 2013
Pros: Clean and well taken care of beaches, safety of guests was important, and everyone was so concerned about us having a relaxing stay.
Cons: Housekeeping should not disturb guests who have a "Do not disturb" sign on the door- after all, the majority of people are there on their honeymoon!
The hotel itself was pretty good but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We felt taken care of in every way. The food was pretty good, the drinks were awesome, and the watersports area was full of fun, new things for us to try. The housekeeping staff wasn't all that great- we got the door knocked on twice asking if we needed towels even though we had the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. The snorkeling was amazing and just laying out on the beach was everything I had hoped it would be. Overall, we would definitely go back.

Nice resort with an excellent staff

Posted Jun 23, 2013
Pros: The staff was incredible. They were attentive but always respected our desire for privacy.
Cons: The facilities and rooms could use a facelift. The bathroom in our room was very small with one sink.
Location: Negril is approximately 90 minutes west of Montego Bay airport by van. There is so much to do at the resort- we did not leave.
Although the resort is showing its age, the staff went out of the way to ensure our stay was memorable. The sunsets were spectacular. The scuba and snorkeling dives are only minutes away from the resort- a real advantage as no one wants to spend unnecessary time on a dive boat. The dive crew was very knowledgeable and the dives were very interesting. Although we enjoyed all of the restaurants, we favored the Japanese and Italian venues. Both require reservations so guests should plan their stay accordingly. We had a great time and would recommend this resort without reservation.

Great Experience

Posted May 28, 2013
We had a wonderful time honeymooning at Sandals Negril. From the moment we got off the plane, the staff was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The food and dining options were excellent, and all the accommodations were very clean and well-maintained. We would not hesitate to stay their again.

Nice but a little over priced.

We had a fabulous vacation in Jamaica and will definitely return!! Sandals does an overall great job making your stay comfortable. We stayed at Sandals Negril for a week. The food and drinks were great, and I can not say enough about the staff they made you so comfortable and were so much fun! There was always someone asking if you were all right or needed anything, but not intrusive at all. The resort and beach were beautiful and kept very well, as well as the grounds. That being said we did have a few isssues. House keeping cleaned our room very late in the day 5:00 pm and sometimes later. One day we were not cleaned at all. It was an inconvenience as we would be ready to shower for dinner but had no towels. Also the room wasn't really cleaned the entire time we were there, just bed made and towels replaced. We were a little disappointed with that and the room itself was very dated. The only other inconvenience was it was hard to get a beach towel in the afternoon so if you weren't out there early you were out of luck. Even with the inconveniences we still had an enjoyable stay. We will probably try a different resort when we return as I have stayed at other all inclusives that were much cheaper with the same if not better accommidations.

Good place for watersports and ease your mind

Posted May 13, 2013
Pros: The ocean front room, some night parties on the beach, friendly staff and watersports for free. Good place for couples.
Cons: Food is good but not great.
The atmosphere is so friendly!!!!! The staff is helpful. The beach is narrow and the sea is warm and quiet perfect for swimming or just for sunbathe on top of a floatie. it is also beautiful to watch the sunset while having a drink sitting somewhere or simply walking down the sand. Overall, this resort gave my husband and I the opportunity to enjoy different things: he had fun doing watersports, mainly scuba diving meanwhile I was happy just hanging around.

Sandal's Negril Beachfront HoneymooConcierge suite

Posted May 2, 2013
Pros: Food
Cons: Slow service
Location: Beautiful beach
I was disappointed in the luxury of the rooms. The pictures on the website made the room look a lot larger than they really are. The water pressure was very low. We were promised a couples massage and a $100 credit at the spa and only received the massage. Service is slow at the bar. I don't think I would go back to Sandals as the money spent was probably more than we needed to spend. I did enjoy the good food and the staff as they were very friendly. Shout out to Oshane a waiter at Sundowners. He is "AWESOME" we miss him already.

Disappointed

Posted Mar 31, 2013
Pros: The Kimonos was our favorite meal hands down. Snorkeling/water sports are included. The excursion to YS falls & Appleton is worth the extra money.
Cons: It's 70 min+ from the airport & we couldn't have breakfast before a 9am flight (our bus left at 5am). It was hard to get beach chairs and pool towels.
Location: There's a great beach (7 mi) and it was comforting to have security guards checking you in and out as you left the resort. Great snorkeling.
We were not very impressed with the condition of the hotel - it was slightly run down and when we got hit with a downpour our ceiling leaked. It was difficult to get reservations for the 2 restaurants that required them. More confusing was that the restaurants were definitely not at full capacity at the time you reserved. We met a couple who arrived the same day and had to wait even longer into their trip to eat at those places. There were waits for all restaurants no matter what time you arrived, except for the buffet (but it closed for lunch much earlier than we would have liked). We chose Sandals because it was for adults only and were impressed with the fact that there was a dress code for dinner. It was disappointing that we took the extra effort to follow the dress code and many looked like they just came from the beach or pool. The pools were nice, but we could never get a pool towel and had to either ask at the front desk or go back to our room for one. It was very hard to get a chair on the beach - so many people left books, towels and bags to claim seats and we never saw people return to use them. It was very convenient to check in online in advance and they took care of our transportation to the resort and back to the airport so we didn't have to worry about that at all. With talking to other couples there, it seems the only way to have an amazing experience is if you pay for the butler service. We had a nice time but don't plan to try Sandals again.
