“The best Stay at Sandy Haven”

My boyfriend and I were upgraded to an ocean front room. The owners Stephen and Ann were fabulous, friendly, and accomodating. The place is completely renovated and beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. We were so impressed with this property. I would recommend Sandy Haven to everyone.

“Great hotel fo couples”

Everyone was so friendly & nice. They had a lot of specials for hotel visitors like customer appreciation night that had a live band, buffet style food that was awsome! The owner of the hotel, Steve was there to greet everyone & to make sure our hotel stay was all that was expected. The shower & tub were very romantic. The security guards (on the beach at the hotel) made sure that we did not get hasseled by the vendors in the beach area. We had a very early flight the morning that we left. They made sure that we were up at 4:00 a.m. and that our taxi driver, Owen, was there on time. When we go back to Jamaica this is definitely where we will stay again.

“Raising standards in Negril”

Having been to Negril 3 times before, I was pleased to see a smaller hotel with higher standards of upkeep and cleanliness. I hope other hotels on the beach follow the lead and work on renovating and maintaining their properties, because Negril is such a great place to vacation and it's sad to see properties become rundown. So, this is a newly rehabbed property (used to be For Real). The decor is lovely and very tasteful, and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. I recognized some of the staff working there from previous trips to Negril. When I asked them how they liked working at Sandy Haven, some said it hasn't been their favorite. I gather this is because they now have to wear matching uniforms and the atmosphere is slightly stuffy for the location, amidst really laid-back accomodations, not near the big hotels. The vibe seemed out of place. For instance, there are wine refrigerators in every room, which is not very practical or useful for guests. And I even brought a bottle of wine! I would have preferred and gotten more use out of a regular minifridge. The wine chillers just seem a bit showy, not to mention they are loud and woke us up in the middle of the night when they start running. Also, menu prices are high, even for the lunch at snacks at the beach. I would definitely stay here again for all the perks, but I would plan on eating or drinking elsewhere because there are so many other better-priced and casual choices.

“Beautiful Boutique on beautiful beach!”

This boutique hotel is simply and beautifully appointed. The modern decor and calming color choices really added to the relaxation factor! The beachfront and lounges were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only disappointment was that the hot tub was out of order during my stay.
