Nice, small all-inclusive hotel.Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: The small intimate atmosphere. It is an all-inclusive but feels more like a boutique hotel.
Cons: They could use some upgrades in the rooms such as new fridges and digital safe deposit boxes.
Location: Nestled in a beautiful tropical garden and across the street from a beautiful private beach.
Had a lovely time at Sunset at the Palms in Negril. The gardens and "treehouse" rooms are beautiful and the staff is amazing.

Great resortPosted Apr 13, 2014
Close to the beach. Rooms are very well kept. Food is great, many choices for all meals. The best part is the friendliness of the staff, made our stay much more enjoyable.

Very Relaxing!Posted Apr 6, 2014
We went for our honeymoon and loved every minute of it! Staff are super friendly and helpful (thanks Leonardo!!!), food is great, rooms are very romantic and feel private;cute little bungalows. Drinks are fantastic, especially the pink paradise! There is not a lot of planned activities, but that's not the reason you want to go there...it's definitely for a slow paced, relaxing and romantic getaway. The beach is across the road, which is not a huge deal. There is a bar and grill over there which makes for a great meal on the beach! We would definitely go back!!!!

This was our first stay at SATP and it was exactly as advertised. Serenity at its best. The rooms were comfortable, the service impecible, and the food was amazing!

Great LocationPosted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: Location, food, service....everything.
Location: The bay was incredibly calm. Snorkeling was nice and kayaking was great because of the quiet waters.
A hidden gem with outstanding customer service. We chose this hotel because we wanted something more intimate and relaxing. It was perfect. No lines, no wait for chairs, no eating with the masses, just very quiet and quaint and perfect.

Lovely tree top roomsPosted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: The rooms made this hotel special
Cons: Food choices and availability throughout the evening. A comfy chair area to chill in the evenings.
Location: We did the YS Falls and the Black River boat tour which were both great. Also did the Rum factory tour which we would not bother repeating.
Hotel about 1.5+ hours from Montego Bay airport. Check in easy welcomed with drinks and cool towels. Hotel staff very helpful. Rooms lovely especially the balcony with day bed. Food was good but not special with a few items running out early in the evening on a couple of occasions. Non alcoholic cocktails non existent. Hotel set about 10 miles from Negril. Private beach lovely and just across the road with good food and bar service.

Boring but relaxingPosted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: people-bbq-beach grill-beach
Cons: play some music on the beach and at the hotel pool! so boring!!
Location: i didnt go anywhere because we just wanted to relax
There was nothing "wrong" with sunset...but i wouldnt go back. It was just too blah. The beach was across the street, it took 4 seconds to get to dinner which was nice but couldnt reallly take walks because there was no where to go. We were in a room right next to the night entertainment and wow-no windows on a hut makes for a no sleep night..esp with the birds! and the lizards in our room!! i mean rooms were very pretty and relaxing but im not a bug/reptile person! The food was ok...great bbq. staff VERY nice! great beach bar/grill. beach was very nice...water was great...and our small area of the beach had lots of trees so it was nice to not have to fight people for shade! most annoying part-the people trying to sell us stuff and ask for tips every 4 minutes. jewelry coffee bracelets & some other stuff i probably cant post. it was a 1 1/2 hr drive from the airport. So if your looking for a "were just going to lay in the sun all day and nothing else" this might be good. but if you like bigger things with something to do (like there was no music-ever-anywhere) go somewhere else!

Nice quaint resort for R&R.Posted Mar 5, 2014
Peaceful, no heavy party goers or spring breakers. Best food was Caribbean night buffet on Saturday, tho all was palatable. Staff were hospitable and willing to please. Short walk to beach was not an issue. Would recommend if looking for R&R.

We had a wonderful time, truly treated as royalty!Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: We liked that we didn't have to worry about bringing anything, it was all available for us. We felt safe and we felt the kindness of the people.
Cons: The gym had an aerobic room but no classes, and/or some yoga would be nice. Having a fitness person would be helpful.
Location: The resort is across the street from the beach, but this was not a problem. Negril is close by with the famous Rick's Cafe and the cliff divers ~FUN!
We are two ladies traveling together and we stayed at the resort for a week. The staff was amazing, from the front desk to the waiters and even the grounds crew, and they would do everything to make you feel welcome. They had the equipment available to play on the courts, although it wasn't the ultimate it worked out quite well. The gym was clean and air-conditioned with the latest exercise equipment. They supplied the towels and deck chairs for the beach, and there was always someone near by to get what you needed. The food and drinks were excellent and the local artisans were nearby if you were interested. They were helpful and not pushy. The food at the resort was amazing. There were many options to suit any pallet and several types of restaurants to suit any style. They even had cooking lessons so you could take some of the experience home. The staff were the most amazing, everyone was so friendly and interested in you, where you came from and how you were doing and if you needed anything. They made you feel so wonderful. There were some excursions included; We traveled in an air-condition bus and the bus driver was a good ambassador to the country, explaining and answering questions as we went. He accommodated the wishes of the guests, we felt safe, but never rushed. It was our first visit and will be sure to go again, bringing others with us to share the experience. The tree-houses are "in the trees" so there are bugs. If you wear some bug spray, your fine.
