What a fantastic place to say! Very close (just a short walk) to the main shopping street of Nelson, on a quiet road near the Cathedral. A beautifully done-up 1920's villa, with original Rimu floors and art work and books everywhere, making it feel like a very personal place to stay.
The owners are lovely, friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts are absolutely amazing.
Lots of nice little touches, such as different colourful drinking glasses each day, tea and coffee supplies with biscuits and chocolates in your room, and hand-made quilts on the beds.
Highly recommended - we'll definitely be back.

"Beautiful renovated Early Victorian Historic House"
This was quite a special stay - Warwick House is one of the largest and oldest Early Victorian homes in New Zealand.
It had been recommended to us by 2 of our friends and certainly didn't let us down.
The property is just gorgeous to look at from the outside, perfect proportions with steep arched roofs and slate tiles.
On the East side is has an amazing 4 story octagonal tower - Like a fairy tale castle.
(Apparently before it was renovated the locals just used to call this 'The Castle', so the taxi driver told us)
The major feature inside is the huge ballroom with a 17 foot high ceiling. This is the most beautifully proportioned
room that we had ever been in. It would be amazing to have a wedding or function in. The owners' told us that they do 'High Teas' for groups quite regularly. We were served breakfast there with classical music. Their home made Muesli was lovely. We bought some to take on the rest of our trip with us.
We would definitely recommend the large rooms and suites upstairs with clawfoot baths and lots of space.
Especially if you have 3-4 nights to spend in the Nelson area. We did lots of walks from the property, all lovely.

This is nice comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price for families. It is close to the town centre and very handy. It does have car parking issues but if you are out and about all day then it is fine in the evenings. It is not 4 star but tidy clean and roomy for the price. We were very happy with the accommodation and the rooms were serviced every day which we did not expect from an apartment accommodation.
