Nice hotel, just a few minutes outside the town.Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: I liked some staff and the location.
Cons: Some staff need to give an honest days work. The rooms need a good Spring clean and all tatty folders need to be binned.
Location: I want to get a better look at the castle and have an opportunity to visit Silvermines. There are lovely walks in the area and Lough Derg of course.
The receptionist was pleasant on my arrival but didn't give me any information on what was available for food if I required it or for breakfast, though it was not part of my booking. The room was not as pristine as I would have liked. The kettle was not clean and the room did not have a freshness to it. The information folder was very dirty and the contents had something spilled on it. I expected more for my money. I dined in the bar, what seemed to be the head waiter/manager did a phenomenal job in helping what seemed to me were not very experienced staff. This guy kept it all together as it was busy.

Location: Enjoy the drives and walks around Lough Derg
We have stayed in the Abbey Court Hotel on several occasions and have never been dissapointed with our stay The rooms are spotlessly clean the staff are very friendly and are always ready to oblige in any way they can.We also had several meals in the Restaurant which we enjoyed very much The food was very well presented and served by smiling staff. Well done Abbey Court Hotel.

We used this hotel as a base to explore locations around Southern Ireland esp. Limerick. We were a little apprehensive about its location on the edge of the Neenagh in what looked like an industrial area but that was unfounded as appearances can be deceiving. The hotel itself was modern and well appointed and seemed to be very popular with numerous meetings going on, this however did not impact on noise or amenity. There is plenty of parking and a short walk to the village with many pubs, restaurants and more importantly a laundromat. Room was comfortable. Will recommend a stay.
