You'll find some reviews saying that this Parador is a little jaded here and there with some of the furnishings or carpets having seen better days, or the rooms being quite dated, and that is all true, but for us the whole experience was comfortable, pleasant, full of charm and everything worked, so along with the wonderful views, lovely grounds, very good breakfast, friendly staff (on the whole), nice lounge/bar, we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Very good check in experience. Our room overlooked the small one way road but had good views of the mountains and a side view of the sea in the distance ( down a very steep hill). The only real downside was the refuse collectors in the early hours of the morning so take some earplugs. We had early morning sun which was nice. The rooms with the pool view didn't have the sun until about 2 pm. Lovely comfortable beds with deep mattress. Decor a bit tired but renovation is in progress. Spotlessly clean. Lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds but not enough shade although one side of the pool id in shade until 2 pm which can become a bit chilly. A good stab at entertainment - I particularly liked Zoe who had a good voice and my kind of music. Breakfast varied and well laid out.
Supermarket immediately opposite and a fabulous tapas bar 50 yards away. Potters Bar is just on the other side of the road and very welcoming. Entertainment there also on some nights.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel previously hence our return as the hotel staff are so accommodating. The second time round we noticed many improvements, so was even better and pre-arranged to stay in the same sea view room we had during our first stay! I would defo advise to upgrade to sea view as was so beautiful and the sound of the waves are so relaxing.
The staff at the Perla are fantastic and very well spoken. They offer much needed tourist info in order to see as much as you can during your stay. Wifi connection is available throughout the hotel although we did struggle to get connected in our room so had to do anything like that in the reception area, which wasn't a prob as didn't go away to surf the net! lol
No need to pack towels as room gets changed daily, and if you want towels for by the pool you can pay 10 Euros to reception which is full refundable when the towel is returned.

Although only stayed one night, I was a little late in arriving but the reception remained open and the young man was very helpful,. The hostel had a very nice roof terrace which over looked the rooftops of nerja, the only criticism I have is that although it had a small kitchenette there wasn't enough equipment ie crockery etc., but it was a useful thing to have.

We knew El Capistrano was up the hill from downtown so this wasn't a concern. The front desk staff were very helpful. The write up for this property said wifi was included .... It was but you could only receive a signal if you sat outside the main office. Was disappointed with this! Also, the front desk forgot to give us our pool passes and the office hours are very limited. We went to sit at the pool and were told we couldn't enter without a pass! Finally we were told, after making us feel very awkward, that we could come in this time but would need a pass for next time! Then we went to get a lounger and the cost was €3 per person to sit down. I can see charging on the beach but we were staying here for 3 days! A nice place but don't know whether we'd stay again. One last note .... If you are overweight you may not fit through the door into the tiny shower ... Was quite a surprise!

While this hotel is not a quaint little hotel, being a highrise, it was a great place to stay. It is right on the beach and a short walk to the middle of town. The service is exellent, the staff friendly and the food good. I would go back.

Bad computer, internet and wifi connection. Staff helpful, food plentiful but catering to European flavor and lacking local preferences. First floor room noisy over nightly entertainment area, but accommodations sufficient otherwise. Fantastic beach and area amenities.

East of Malaga and one of the Costa del Sol’s quieter resorts, Nerja attracts a more mature traveller than its brasher neighbours, and sits atop low cliffs dropping down to enclosed beaches such as that of El Salón. The town’s focal point is the Balcón de Europa, a paved headland jutting out into the Mediterranean. The most popular attraction is the Nerja caves, large enough to house a concert hall hosting ballet and orchestra performances.
