The hotel was great; the staff was very nice and welcoming and the chocolate chip cookies and citrus infused water at the front desk was a nice touch. It is conveniently located a short distance from the water and several restaurants. However, one negative is that there isn't a fridge in the room and the soap dish wasn't clean. I know it's a very minute detail, but it made me question the cleanliness of the entire bathroom. But once I got over that, everything else was fantastic.

Pocket Guide: New Bedford, Southeast Massachusetts Casino Hotels

Sitting on the Massachusetts coast in Buzzards Bay, New Bedford is a maritime town and home to the largest fishing fleet on the east coast. The town was once the center of North America's whaling industry, and is home to the Whaling National Historical Park and Whaling Museum. The town's whaling past lead to its being the setting for Herman Melville's famous novel, Moby Dick.
