Unpleasant

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: The room was clean
Cons: Staffs knowledge and understanding of the potential special needs of there guests
The hotel staff initially refused me my room because of my service dog. Only after explaining the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was I allowed to check in. I would have hoped that the staff would be knowledgeable of the law and not need it explained to them by a guest.

A very well maintained hotel. 7 min. from the Tyron Palace. Plenty of food placed and shops near by.

Spent time on the patio grilling fresh shrimp etc.

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Clean, well kept rooms. Good staff. Being able to grill our evening meal.
Cons: More than two forks in the room so you could eat twice before you ran the dishwasher.
Location: We spent time going on tours of the Stanley House and the Tyrone Palace. Visited Pepsi and the historical Old Town area. Went to the garden show, ma
Very warm welcoming staff. We barbecued out on their patio, and they had the grill and cooking utensils provided. We were not cramped inside a small room. Our room had everything we needed to enjoy our time there.

Does not live up to expectations.

Posted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: I did not like any thing about this hotel. This hotel does not have King size beds
Cons: I have no idea what could be done.
Location: The area had lots of things to do for enjoyment.
This alleged "Suite Hotel" is no more a suite than a studio apt. The linen does not get changed nor does the towels. The room floor had not been vacuumed before our arrival as there was tooth picks on the floor.

Unclear deposit pet deposit conditions

Posted Dec 23, 2013
The site wasn't clear on the $75.00 pet deposit , which I assumed to be refundable after inspection of the room when I checked out. Turns out the $75.00 was not refundable , but an actual pet fee, which to me was extremely high for a caged 4 lb Chihauha, who we kept caged and took with us each time we left the hotel for excursions.

It is our goal to consistently provide superior service and accommodations and your comments are very important to us. Pet policy applies to everyone who stays with pets and there is a non refundable amount of $75.00 pet fee for 1 to 6 nights stay.

Beware, no housekeeping services

Posted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Don't call it a suite if it is a studio? There was not sofa, only one recliner, a desk/table, stove, microwave and refridgerator and king size bed.
Location: shopping and food nearby.
It wasn't until I checked in that I found out that there would not be any housekeeping services provided. My stay was for 3 nights, I had to put trash and towels in a laundry basket and take it done to the front desk in order to get new towels. The desk clerk said that there is a sign posted and pointed to it, " this is more like and extended stay, not a hotel". I stated that then they should consider changing the name to Candlewood Extended Stay. My thing is this I was not there to see the sign when I made reservations. I paid $99.00 per night for a King studio not a suite, with no housekeeping services and no breakfast!
