Nice hotel close to freeway home and great attract

Posted Jun 25, 2015
I was needing a quick motel in after my trip to New Braunfels. I went to Schlitterbahn with my family and the drive to the motel was about 5-10 minutes. Not bad. The hotel was in a nice area near a lot of food places. The facility itself was very clean. The rooms had great amenities such as a flat screen tv, a nice desk, a safe to keep valuables, an iron and iron board, and a fridge. (A blow dryer would have been nice, however) the breakfast was great! (No Texas shaped waffles, but still great) and check in and check out was super easy especially with Expedia! I booked the hotel roughly 3 hours before and the rooms were available. The staff was so kind and friendly too! They let me use the computer for personal use.

I would not recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly but the room was musty. The blow dryer didn't work. Too much noise in other rooms (tv, people talking late at night, especially in the hallway.

Not worth the money

Posted Jun 12, 2015
We reserved two nights and from the pictures it looked nice. We got there the front desk lady was very nice. But the rooms were dirty, stains on the comforter. And we even saw a few roaches in our room. Hotel looks like its falling apart in some places on the ceiling and they cut to many repair corners. I just do not recommend staying here for this money

Great Time!

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: My youngest son asked to use the restroom when we were checking out. The front desk person said they didn't have a public restroom. Weird...a hotel.
Location: Great location!
We were barely in the room as we were on the River the whole trip. But the HOJO served its purpose! We were pleased.

MOTEL IN NEW BRAUNFELS

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Staff was very nice and friendly.. Beds were very comfortable. Nice sized refrigerator included.
Cons: Even thought room was large, a lot of the plugs were loose, could have been a little cleaner, no elevator. The bed spread was very small.
Location: Lots of eateries and shopping nearby. Great steak restaurant right next door that we tried. Convenient to the Interstate also.
Hotel staff was very accommodating. There was a leak over our shower we noticed after our first night. The desk clerk immediately gave us another room. Motel was in a very convenient location, close to lots of eateries and shopping.

New Braunsfels Hotel

Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Lock on room door was intermittent to open with card.
Location: Gruene is 2 miles away.
We attendrd a memorial service for a friend in NB. The hotel was close to the service and close to resturants. Access was easy off I35.

Cheap Hotel, Get what you pay for or maybe less

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Price, mattress.
Cons: The property is pretty run down, housekeeping staff needs to be paid better or replaced.
Location: New Braunfels is a awesome little town. Good BBQ stop called New Braunfels Smokehouse down the street. Iron Horse Grill is also good.
Most of the rooms of this hotel are pretty much the same, except 1 or 2 that are a little smaller. We got there and it wasn't booked-up but they still put us up in one of the smaller rooms which had no working fridge or safe and a dirty toilet so we complained and were shown our choice of three larger rooms. Would have been nice to have been placed there to begin with since it was empty. They charge extra if they know you are using the safe. King sized bed was very comfy with a pillow-top mattress. It appears they have hard water so the shower pressure isn't the best. The housekeeping dept was the worst aspect of the hotel. I had to complain on at least 2 or 3 occasions just to get the basic things done like replacing coffee cups, they changed our bed linens at our request, but not the pillow cases, they left some sort of greasy residue on the blanket and the second to last day when we had run out of kleenex i had removed the kleenex holder cover in the morning so they would notice and they simply put it back without actually replacing the kleenex box. ??? We checked both rooms for bedbugs and found none. Anyways - this place is probably fine if you one need a place to sleep for a couple days but if you are doing an extended stay I'd book elsewhere.
