Pros: Breakfasts were good. Proximity to area attractions.
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms. Working refrigerators. Friendlier front desk staff. A fitness facility. Housekeeping be QUIET while guests sleeping.
Location: New Braunfels is well worth the visit there... beautiful countryside, lots of area attractions, and great restaurants.Very interesting vintage stores.
Stayed here for two reasons: 1. close to the attractions in the New Braunfels area, and 2. couldn't get anything in San Marcos, due to Texas State Univ grad weekend. Front desk staff not very friendly, but breakfasts were good (waffles and the usual continental fixings), albeit ended too early in the mornings (hotels way of getting people out early... so much for sleeping in). Room carpet was FILTHY (white socks black after a few min), and room fridge NOT cold (good thing we ate out mostly). Adjacent room noisy thru thin walls (someone's cell phone kept ringing/buzzing at 0500am). Wanted a quiet room... housekeeping just down the hall, and their workers must have missed the "be quiet early in the morning when guests are sleeping." No need to shout "housekeeping," while tapping on doors, BEFORE check out times! oh well... kids running down hallways, noisy neighbours, and LOUD closing doors at all hours. We booked three nites on a budget deal... I guess you get what you pay for... oh well.

No recomendable

Pros: nada

Good Reasonable Hotel

Came for a wedding, stayed 4 nights. The room was clean and it was pretty quiet. The continental breakfast was pretty good mainly waffles and biscuits & Gravy. The pool was pretty small but not too busy.

In town for friend's birthday. Easy check-in n girl at counter was friendly enough but lobby had strong smell of bleach! Room on smaller size & place was dated! Room didn't smell fresh. Bed was ok, pillows horrible. Window seat was gross n stained. AC worked fine & hot water lasted in shower. Was ok hotel but if you are high maintenance this place won't work for you!

Could be better

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Food service & cleanliness; better facilities for handicapped
Location: On business I35; about mile away from some local shopping
Handicapped parking was taken by non-handicapped vehicles; our handicapped room was on second floor; people were yelling in other rooms & hallways; food was nothing to write home about (hard boiled eggs tasted pickled); food service area, dining area, & elevator floors were sticky & there were food trails leading away from food area to guest rooms; some guests were standing in exit doors smoking even though this was supposed to be non-smoking facility; rooms were ok but carpets were filthy

Just ok

Walls are extremely thin. Could hear the person snoring in room next to mine, not to mention every conversation they had. All of the 1970s wood decor made it feel old, dated and dirty. Bathroom was the nicest part of the room and made my 4 night stay half way tolerable.

Pros: Close distance to Gruene. Clean room. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Wouldn't hurt for the people in the front desk to say hello when you walk by.
Location: Good tourism in Gruene, and great live music in Gruene hall most nights.
Decent stay for the price paid, and good distance from Gruene.
