Nice Hotel close too Schlitterbahn

Pros: Proximity to dining, shopping, attractions
Cons: They just don't make the showers for people that are over 6' tall.
Location: Attractions, shopping, food
This is the first time we stayed at Red Roof Inn. For the money, it was worth it. We were lose to food,shopping, etc. The hotel is about 2 - 3 miles from Schlitterbahn park

Last room left in New Braunfels

Pros: The location was good.
Cons: Cleaning needs to be improved and don't let the rooms look so run down.
Location: Lots to do in New Braunfels.
We stayed there because it was the last room available in New Braunfels. We normally stay at Hampton Inn, but we booked this room last minute and this hotel had the last room. The staff was friendly enough but the room was a little less than desirable, Paint was peeling off the wall in big chunks and there were several black hairs of many sizes laying on the shower floor and in the sink. And there was a towel hanging over the shower curtain. The bed was made. The AC worked well but the deodorizer was strong. It is crowded in New Braunfels this time of year, and most of the breakfast items were gone by 8:30. I told the desk person in the morning of our experience and she said "OK". I feel that the price for this stay was way too expensive for what it was. Total including tax was $186.Don't think we'll stay there again.

Room dirty, smell of urine. Request another room were told I would have to pay 20.00 extra each night for suite finally move to another room .not able to get in following night key pad malfunction set in hot room with manger trying to fix key pad finally three hours later given a suit without charge horrible week at this hotel.

Disgusting, Uncomfortable, and Rude

Cons: Tear it down and start over with a new staff.
After being told the wrong room number multiple times, they finally gave me a room key. They explained that the room was in the back of the lot upstairs. I asked if they had any first floor rooms available as I am a disabled vet and their was no handicap access. They got an attitude and huffed and puffed before telling me that they were overbooked and that was the only room available. Accepting my lot, I managed to get myself up the stairs and in to my room. The first thing we noticed was a large red stain in the carpet, hopefully wine....When entering the bathroom, I noticed that the shower drain stop was missing and only the sharp exposed shaft protruded from the drain. Their solution to this was a rubber drain stop. The light/exhaust was FILTHY. The pillows, if you can call them that, were roughly 1 inch thick with 0 support. Both returning to the room late that evening and when departing early in the morning, I noticed a grand total of 4 other cars in the parking lot. Apparently overbooked is a relative term. The final aggravation came when I called the front desk to get the wifi password, only to be informed by the clerk that the room I was in was vacant. It turns out that the room I was supposed to be was in fact in the main building. Upon exiting my room at 0800 to utilize the laundry facility the day of our departure, I returned to find my key not working. After my wife let me in I tried the second key with the same result. By FAR the WORST stay of my life!

Short stay in New Braunfels.

Pros: Price and location.
Cons: Breakfast could have a better variety (fruit, eggs, hash browns, etc.).
Location: Trip was to experience Schlitterbahn, and was very convenient to the park.
Room was everything expected. Beds were too hard, but we take an inflatable mattress with us. We spent most of our time away from the hotel, so all we needed was a bed and bath. Good value for the price!

Not worth the price

Not worth the price for sure. But most likely the best you could find at around this price in the area. Smelled horrible and it was not a smell I could get used to. The bed was uncomfortable and about the only positive thing I can say is that it was clean, other than the smell. The staff member who worked at night was not friendly not helpful. Those who work in the day, however, are friendly. I would not recommend if you can afford better.

Horrible place

Drunks outside rooms playing music w door open and drinking. Also occurred in parking lot. Smelled like a stuffy basement, pillows were like a sheet. Slept with towels and duffle bag behind head instead. Felt springs after each turn in bed. Stains on floors and things falling off walls. Breakfast is a bust too

Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: The whole place needs to be renovated and cleaned. Fumigated.
Location: The Comal River and if you have a chance, stop at Cooper's BBQ it was very delicious, at least to me.
This hotel is awful. The place is run down and old. I don't mind that it was old, what I mind is that the room was full of bugs. The carpet is old and dirty, the beds are old and the bedding is old and smelly. The furniture in the room is also old and some of the electrical fixtures are not set in properly, which leaves openings in the wall. Considering that there were bugs crawling, I was concerned that I had one of those fixtures above the bed. If it wasn't because I showed up after midnight to check in and didn't want to be driving around looking for a place, I wouldn't have stayed. I actually considered sleeping in the car that is how horrible this room was. I couldn't sleep thinking that bugs could be crawling in the comforter or the pillows. The guy at the front desk charged me additional because I ended up with one extra guest instead of the two I had reserved for. The whole experience was awful and the rate was not even that cheap in comparison to the other nearby hotels. I would much rather pay a little more and stay at a nicer place. Don't stay here.

The staff were great, room nice and clean. It had no fridge or microwave, so I had to eat out for every meal but I would stay there again.
