I live in Tennessee and booked the hotel for my sister and her family and also my 2 boys that were staying with her for a few weeks. They were going to Hershey Park for the weekend. I paid for the room online through expedia. When my family got to the hotel rooms they smelled like backed up sewage. The one room didn't have a working air conditioner and was hardly tolerable to sleep in. They asked for a fold out bed and the front desk told her she could pay at check out. When they checked out at 4:00 in the morning there was a man that could hardly understand English and he kept trying to run my card through for the rooms and said the card was declined. My sister kept trying to explain the room was already paid for and she just needed to pay for the bed. It took her 45 minutes just to check out.

“Work In Progress”

Hotel was under construction at the time of my stay (late March 2012). Front entrance was hard to find due to excavation. Once I got off the creaky elevator I found the hallway carpet covered in plastic, with mattresses and a roll of carpet completely blocking the path to my room. This was on a Friday about 4 pm, presumably a high check-in period for hotels. After a short wait the construction crew appeared and (with some grumbling) cleared the hallway. The construction materials were gone when I left the room about half an hour later, but the plastic covering remained over the hallway carpet for the duration. Construction resumed on Saturday morning. The hotel manager was exceedingly friendly and eager to please, but this affected the quality of my stay. I do have to say the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the bath was sparkling clean. The owner of this hotel should schedule remodeling work when it is less likely to inconvenience weary travelers.
