The Lionstone Inn

Our stay was very brief but satisfactory. The room was very clean and the sink and tub/shower were very up-to-date. The price was exceptionally reasonable and the front desk person efficient and friendly.

The room was nice and clean. Had no issues with surrounding guests. It was a good location. Close to Tims and Sobeys. The only thing was on the site I booked from, it said there was a hairdryer in the room (which most places include in the room) but there wasn't one but I guess it wasn't that much of a big deal as it doesn't take much for my hair to dry but for future guests that may need a lot of time to dry their hair.

Clean, comfortable, older motel. Few amenities but only needed a place to sleep for one night and I got that. Good night's sleep in a quiet place with a comfortable bed.

There is no person work in there after 10:00PM. I booked, but when I get there before 11:59PM, there is no person at all.

No air condition. It is extremely hot if you want to stay there. Close to the PEI ferry.

I wanted to cancel this room seeing it was a distance from our Trans Canada Highway but was told there was a 48 hour cancellation policy! There was no phone in the facility! The staff was not in the office in the morning until 9! It is close to the PEI Pictou ferry so will benefit from that! A very good price!

Great location, right off of both Hwys 106 and 6. I was put off by the many notices in the office and room that warned about being charged for damages. Of course if I break something I expect to be charged. Who doesn't? But signs like that just make people feel unwelcome. The person at the desk was very nice and recommended some local restaurants. Internet worked fine, the room was clean, and the bed was comfy. "Ceiling fan" was actually a rotating fan sitting atop the television cabinet. No shampoo was provided in the bathroom. Maybe they provide it by request, but the office hadn't yet opened when I needed it in the morning. No coffee/breakfast is offered. Fortunately a Tim Horton's and a grocery store are practically next door.

This was a delightful hotel in a charming town. It was easily assessable after a brief drive from the TCH. The welcome by the owner was exceptional and the room lived up to our expectations. The rate was exceptional and for a one night stay it provided all we required. However, we did miss having a telephone in the room and the lack of an iron and ironing board could be a problem had we stayed longer. Free WiFi was appreciated as was the Senior's Discount. We certainly would stay there again if we are in the area.
