Just what we neededPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bed, in area with sidewalks for taking our dog out.
Cons: Special receptacles for depositing our pet's "business" close to the hotel.
Location: Beautiful scenic area in NY mountains, Utica College, wineries galore, Erie Canal cruises
Comfortable, clean, convenient. We needed a pet-friendly hotel and this certainly met our needs for personal comfort and pet convenience. Clean hotel, on-site restaurant, convenient area.

very clean hotelPosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Location: New Hartford is within the Utica City limits. It is close to Utica College, shopping and many restaurants. It is less than an hour from Cooperstown.
Holiday Inn Utica is actually in New Hartford . It is close to shopping centers and great dining. The staff is friendly and helpful. While not looking like much of a restaurant, the Moose Lodge located in the hotel offers decent food with great staff. I have stayed many times and they always remember me. Other hotels I've stayed at in the area can't compete and many do not have restaurants within. It is also very close to the Saranac Brewery. A tour and a taste are a must!

Outstanding!Posted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: The restaurant was great!
Cons: Not much - all was great - even extra pillows in the room!
Location: I was only there one night but it was great!
Best hotel I have stayed at in a long time and I have stayed at a lot of hotels. I had a suite where I conducted meetings and it was very suitable. clean, and nicely furnished.

Great location for College VisitPosted Jul 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great Location! My son had Orientation at Utica College and this was a perfect location! Close to everything. My only complaint was the moldy smell when I turned off or lowered AC. (I'm allergic to mold) and that my room was too close to the pool area, and I had to keep my curtain closed to have privacy. The staff were friendly and helpful!

Good central location for Boilermaker weekend.Posted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: Good location. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms.
Cons: Need in-room refrigerators. Continental breakfast needs to start earlier on Boilermaker race day.
This hotel is in good location central to the Boilermaker pre-race expo, the brewery/finish line area and to Commercial Drive where there is a mall, plenty of restaurants, grocery store and shops. The hotel was a typical Holiday Inn - clean, friendly, easy check-in/check-out. My 2 complaints - no refrigerators in the rooms (which are important for keeping food and beverages cold and ready for race morning) and the continental breakfast does not start until 7:30 on Sundays. I would have thought they would make an exception on Boilermaker Sunday when the entire hotel is booked with runners and we have to leave well before 7:30 to get to the race. These will not keep me from coming back but I would rate the hotel higher if these were fixed.

Pros: Staff and quietude of the facility.
Cons: The hallway.
Location: Close to arterial network of Utica area so very convenient for families traveling for collegiate visits and events.
Staff cordiality and professional service was excellent. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the ambiance was fine.

Better than expectedPosted Oct 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed here when visiting our son at college. Very clean and comfortable room. Seemed like limited amenities but we didn't need them.
