Pros: Nice breakfast in Moose River restaurant. Breakfast not included in room rate.

Great restaurant!

The restaurant was surprisingly good--I loved my beef barley soup and the salmon pasta. Room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had a clogged drain which was annoying. Lovely outdoor pool in a nice, sheltered courtyard.

Pros: Good basic hotel. Cookies & lemonade in lobby were a nice touch.
This was the closest hotel we could get to Cooperstown. Not a terrible ride - under an hour each way.

Holiday Inn Utica, N. Y.

It's a clean room. Not enough plugs in the room to charge phones. No refrigerator in room. They have a restaurant on the premises that makes breakfasts that you want to overpay for, but dont want to eat. There is 1 ice macine on the premises. Pray that your room is on the same side as the ice machine, or get ready to do some walking. I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express earlier this year, it was better experience than this full size Holiday Inn

Nicely remodeled hotel.

Pros: Local was convenient for what we wanted to do. Bathrooms nicely upgraded, rooms decorated tastefully, staff was welcoming.
Cons: When the bathrooms were upgraded, there is only ONE electric plug located far from sink. It's a stretch for curling irons, etc. Add breakfast buffet.
Location: We attended Hall of Fame Inductions so all of our activities were in Cooperstown. The drive is an acceptable 40 miles.
The facility was nicely upgraded. There is a restaurant on sight. Would have like to see a breakfast buffet. It was convenient to travel to Cooperstown for baseball fans.

Pros: the staff and the fact that they recently put in an elevator - yay!
Cons: can't think of a thing
Location: I spent the whole time with friends and family
Miranda, night desk clerk was so kind and helpful when I showed up at 2:30 in the morning looking like a drowned rat, crying. She was awesome! Laura, Office Manager, went out of her way to help me get a refund for a night that I, instead of being in the hotel, I spent stuck in a Philly airport. Kind and sympathetic, yet professional. Lisa, day desk clerk, always smiling, always called me by my name, always ready to answer any questions, and solved more than one problem for me during my week-long stay. Cheerful and welcoming!

Cons: The same problem that all hotel chains seem to have, no towel bars in the bathroom!! Where are you supposed to put the hand towel you are using?
Location: Did not have any reason to need anything in the area.
Check in was simple considering reservation was made for me by my son and his girlfriend. Room was well furnished and seemed clean. Bed was only thing that was not that comfortable.

I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, and found it much better then. The staff are all young and need training on how to greet and talk to visitors. There were no towels at the pool, so they had to send for some. Also, the pool chairs were full of pollen. The blow dryer and outlet in the bathroom were too far away from the mirror, so you couldn't see yourself while drying your hair. The one thing I will commend was the service we received from two waiters in the Moose Lounge Restaurant - Jay and Sarah! They were very attentive and friendly! Will probably not stay here on my next visit.

After checking in they did not even let me know where the elevator was. I'm not a psychic. I had to find It on my own. So when I walk into the room and try to connect to the Internet but of course what do you know it does not work. Call the front desk and they say oh people are downloading movies. get your bandwidth up. Pillows are garbage , small square pillows you would find on a couch. 100% better places to stay

Nice hotel, conveniently located

Conveniently located near stores and restaurants. The rooms were nicely furnished and well maintained. The staff could have been just a bit friendlier, left out little details like how to access the free wifi.
