City centre hotel - ideal for a quick stopover

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Modern room Size of Room Staff Location
Cons: Nothing in our quick stay
Location: Ideal location in downtown New Haven Well situated for visiting Yale university
Spent a night visiting New Haven on a tour of New England - booked Hotel whilst in the local Starbucks. Reasonably priced for a large recently renovated twin Queen Bed room Staff particularly the receptionist was exceptionally good - easy to park in Public car park opposite Ideal location in downtown New Haven to explore the town which grew on us over the day we spent there.

Overbooked and I was bumped

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Despite a 3 month prior reservation, I arrived at the New Haven Hotel at a quarter to midnight and instead of being shown to a room was informed that they had oversold the hotel and they had a best western in Orange, CT for me. This is no way to run a business. Shame on your New Haven Hotel!

Nice Hotel close to the Yale University

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location, simplicity and comfort.
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Wonderful location. Yale art gallery, cinema, theatre any restaurants at waking distance.
Nice experience, close to the New Haven down town and Yale Medicine school. I expended 4 days working at Yale University. Gymnasium with the essential. Personalized and warm attention . I enjoyed style, art and nice view.

Good value conveniently located for visiting Yale

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Location, condition, cost.
Cons: Leave tea & coffee service in lobby throughout the day.
Location: Only interested in Yale, and the location was excellent for that purpose.
Everything went smoothly; staff was helpful and knowledgeable

Clean. Executive focus as well as famiy oriented.

Clean. And accommodating. No lounge though. You could not go to a lounge on site to order a drink or cocktail. Complimentary wine service was offered later but could not take advantage of this offering.

Clean affordable awesome staff

Very comfortable large king room. Great location. Spotless interior. Young woman named Kenyatta at breakfast restaurant was great as we traveled with two small toddlers. Even pulled out sofa bed to put kids down and it was comfortable. No tub though...but we managed.

Within walking distance of Yale University

I had an interview at The Yale School of Drama and I chose to stay at the New Haven hotel because of its proximity. The hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent. And the hotel was only about three blocks away from campus.
