“Maintenance lacking”

Our room has a dime-sized hole in the bathroom sink; hard to understand how the housekeeping staff continually missed it. This hole prevented the sink from filling and made itr impossible to use. Perhaps that's why the rate was so cheap!

“We'll definitely go back”

The suite was just the right size for our family of 2 parents and 2 teens, w each teen getting a bed (one on the sofabed) and parents in one of the doubles. The kitchenette (small refrigerator/no freezer, microwave, sink) was adequate for our needs, and our kids even ventured to the pool two times. We were there for two nights at Thanksgiving, so the breakfast room was a bit crowded with families, but the food was fine, with eggs and sausage that could be made into breakfast sandwiches. The location, near 95 and the Merritt Parkway, was very convenient for our visits w family. Really no negatives. Just wish they had suites w 2 queen beds instead of 2 doubles.

Area recommendations

The beach in Milford, near the Audubon Center. It's a great short walk and a way to get kids' (and adults') endorphins going!

“Very Nice!”

Staff was friendly and efficient. We have stayed at this Springhill many times in the past and it has always been consistently very clean and in very good condition.

“Spacious and comfortable”

Stayed at the Springhill Suites in Milford October 28-29 2011 for Friday and Saturday nights during Yale Parents Weekend 2011. It was our second time staying here. The rooms are spacious and clean. The free internet access works flawlessly. There is an indoor pool the children will love. The complimentary hot breakfast is better than most. All in all this is a good place while visiting New Haven.

“Good value for the money”

This is the second time we have stayed here, as it is close to Sacred Heart University i Fairfield, where our son attends college. We found the rooms to be clean and neat. The front desk was helpful and polite. The breakfast was substantial and filling - not just your ordinary buns and coffee, but waffles, cereal, juices, eggs, etc. Not a luxury hotel, but you definitely get your money's worth.

“almost perfect”

Very comfortable room, good customer service. Only criticism is I would have liked to have seen a little more detail to cleaning. Removed the few stains from the nearly new carpet and clean the fingerprints off the bathroom door. These few improvements could make this an easy 4 star hotel.

“don't waste your money”

The price and name of this hotel are very misleading! We had a hard time finding it on top of the fact that the frontdesk staff could not give us directions. once we arrivied we were met at the front desk by two "robots". These two women frontdesk people clearly did not like their jobs and it showed. It just made our frustrating trip to find this place even more upsetting. The room was dark upon entering and the bed pulled down. I preffer my bed completely covered. This was NOT a "luxury" room by a stretch. Wish we had saved our money and time and chanced staying at lower priced easy to find hotel. sad

stratford. Quaint and pretty. Hotels are easy to see and get to. We would have stayed there but the places we wanted were booked for that weekend

“Decent stay at a decent price”

This hotel provides good value for the money. My room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. There was very little noise at night and I slept well. There is an onsite laundry room and I was able to clean some clothes before moving on to my next stop. The morning breakfast was better than expected and included several hot items (eggs and saugages). Overall, a good place to stay.
