Great location, pleasant experience. Great localPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Quaintness of the Hotel, hard wood floors, brick walls. LOVE IT
Cons: renovate the bathrooms, leave the rest intact.
Location: Locale was perfect walking distance to everything that I need to do.
Overall very enjoyable stay. Large number teenagers at the Hotel as well for the concert, quite noisy. No fault of the Hotel. Housekeeping slow to clean room on the second day.

Nice hotel, but I wouldn't return.Posted Jul 22, 2014
There isn't any parking for this hotel. You can park across the street, but that's for 24 hours and it cost $29. Luckily it was the weekend and we parked at a meter for free and just walked everywhere. One of the windows was boarded up and the lobby of the hotel was very dimly lit making it difficult to see. It was like a maze to get to the elevator. The hotel room had an extremely dated feel. With the exception of the television, you would have felt like you were in a hotel from the 1800s. The hotel is about 14-16 blocks away from the downtown area, so be prepared to walk. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to someone.

Great location.Posted Jul 22, 2014
Everyone was welcoming and made me feel at home. From the moment I walked in to check in to the moment I walked out to check out, everyone was very pleasant. I will definitely return.

Some front desk staff were OUT OF LINE rude and some were extremyl helpful and professional. I had a 5 day stay. Wood flooring does not get washed; so what else doesn't?? Valet cost more than public parking, daily!

One night in NOLAPosted Jul 21, 2014
The hotel was charming. The viewless "windows" took some getting used to and the door could use a thicker drape to block the light from the hallway, or a solid door would suffice. The staff was excellent and very helpful. For a one night quick trip near the French Quarter, I thought it was perfect for what we paid.

Reasonably priced Hotel in the city centerPosted Jul 15, 2014
Cons: beds room doors breakfast service staff friendliness
Location: good location, close to french quarter and n peter st
Hotel located in the meatpacking district, the immediate area around is not very pleasant and nice. Staff was not really friendly. The doors of the rooms have glass inlays / windows which are covered with blinds.Never seen soething like that, we felt not very private or intimate because of that. The room istelf is oky, beds have been in a poor condition, cheap frames, cheap mattresses. The breakfast was not convincing either. The price is not according to what you get. Better go for other hotels

It was louder than usual. When we booked the hotel we were not aware that the running of the bulls parade was going to be that Saturday morning outside of our room. It was super loud and we were awaken super early. There was also a crying baby that kept us up all night. Also, the parking is absolutely ridiculously expensive at $75 for two nights. The continental breakfast could be improved as well.

Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Location: French Quarter, Cafe Du Monde, WWII museum, plantation tours
We booked at the last minute. We could not find anywhere else to stay. Ambassador Hotel was very accomodating. We loved Russell, our bell man and all the ladies who work at the front counter.

My room wasn't ready for check in until later thanPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Easy access to downtown
Cons: Breakfast, and customer service
Location: Shopping and restaurant's
The customer service was not professional, the air condition was making loud noise, and I reported it to the manager, he should have made a adjustment on my bill, also I will stay again only because it's convenient to the downtown area.
