"Nice hotel close to the St.Charles trolley"
The stay was great and the onky complaint was the room was really vold and the heat did not seem to be regulated by the thermostat in the room.

"Incredibly convenient, cozy and nice!"
My fiance and I came down for a long weekend trip to NOLA, our first time there and we weren't disappointed with our stay at the Lamothe House. It was ridiculously convenient for what we had in mind which was roaming around the city and enjoying ourselves. Having Frenchmen Street just a block or two out of the back gate was awesome and we loved walking over and getting down to the great music and clubs. We were also just a few blocks north of the Market area and the river front which was very nice as well. We were very happy with the property, the super helpful and polite staff and our experience in general. Would highly recommend!

"Lovely Hotel with lots of charm."
My boyfriend and I were looking for a romantic New Orleans get away, and we got just that staying at the Lafayette. The hotel has an old New Orleans charm and a staff that was very pleasant and helpful. The room was somewhat small, but very comfortable and clean. There is a lovely bar on the first floor with a talented bartender. They offered secure, gated parking that compared in price with the other parking garages in the city. The trolley stopped just down from the lobby door, so getting around the city was a breeze. It is close enough to all the action to walk if you really want to take in all the sights and shops, yet far enough from the party scene to be peaceful. Being on the edge of the Garden district, the location of the Lafayette feels safe, which was very important to me. Each person, from the lovely young lady that checked us in, to the fabulous doormen/women that were ever present to assist us with our questions about the city, that we encountered while staying at the Lafayette made us feel welcome and at home. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to New Orleans.

"Quiet neighborhood"
The B&B is just excellent in all points. it is conveniently located though a car helps to move around. We rented a car upon arrival at the airport. Parking is most easy at all time just everywhere in the city also right by the inn. While commodities are just blocks away summer temperatures make it hard to walk for doing shopping or errands. Tramway is available just 3 blocks away but schedule may not be the most convenient to come back to the inn from the French district later in the night if an adept of nightlife and great jazz music in the "infamous" Bourbon street. Tom welcomed us elegantly and gave us a thorough brief on where to eat, enjoy jazz clubs ( such as Fritzel in Bourbon street or the Spotted Cat in Frenchmen st.), things to see and visit around and in the range of 1 hour drive away from the inn. There is absolutely no shortage of entertainments one can enjoy from dawn to late night in New Orleans. The Segway tour that departs in Decatur street is a great introduction to discover New Orleans with wonderful tour guides. Also the steamboat (Natchez) p.m tour with jazz dinner was a delightful moment together with the various swamps tours (airboat or more conventional boats).

"Will stay there every time we are in New Orleans!"
I booked this place at the absolute min and was a little nervous. We got there at two in the morning and the neighbor hood looked a little sketchy. We got our key and our little map to the room oit of a lock box cause the office was closed. Walked thru a little locked gate up to our room and it was just so neat. Very new orleans. Our room was so cute, very old school charm. A huge king sized bed and a twin xl in the room, fridge and a tv, along with a few dressers and an iron. Great water pressure. Out side down in the court yard was So awesome. Words cannot express how much i loved it. They served a small breakfast in the morning but we wanted to go to a resturant and when i asked the staff they told is to go to waffel house... not quite what we were looking for so we walked around and found the ruby slipper which i deff. Recomend. So if your looking for authentic new orleans stay here, you'll love it!

"My Favorite Place!!"
I have never had any luck getting a room here because it is always booked. Now I know why... it is great. It is the perfect location if you want to be out of downtown - yet close to restaurants and the trolley. The room was great. They had free appetizers and breakfast which was great. The staff was great - getting cabs and answering questions. I hope I get to come back!!

"Uptown and lovely!"
We enjoyed staying in this refurbished old mansion, close to lots of restaurants and the trolley. I was very surprised that it was this nice and would definitely stay again and recommend it highly! Lovely breakfast in the cafe across the street was included with a delightful hostess that made us feel very welcome. The staff at the hotel where we had to go to check in and out was helpful and considerate, just make sure you go there instead of right to the Queen Anne address to register. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you could want including a small kitchenette. 5 stars in my book, don't be afraid to try it.
