"Beautiful B&B with great customer service"
This is a gorgeous hotel with extremely friendly staff and it is a short ride to the French Quarter. Peter made me feel right at home when I arrived. The room was very well kept and the breakfast is an amazing experience in itself. It's different from your normal buffet style or packaged protein bars to go. Instead, you are given a menu and your breakfast is made to order. I had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived and dropped off our bags, which they watched for us since we had 6 hours before check in....be prepared to walk to French quarter or uber....we walked an average of 7 miles a day. Uber will run you between 9-20 a ride to/from that location.

"Mid-City B & B on the streetcar"
Lovely home. Room was clean, private, charming, and very comfortable. Staff was friendly. We were in a front room and could hear some noise from the street, which might bother some. However, it was nice to be right on the streetcar line between City Park and the French Quarter/business district. A good location for those who want to stay somewhere outside the main tourist drags.

"Nice bed and breakfast close to the bus & trolley"
The mansion was nice. We really didn't see many people and the overall feel was quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a courtyard room. I should have researched more because I would have made sure to get a room with a stand up shower. We had a tub with handheld shower, which was fine for me, but my husband has a bad back and found it difficult getting in and out of the tub. I was concerned that there was some mold behind the peeling wallpaper in our room but I have had no ill effects. The breakfast was a basic continental, which was more than sufficient and they had a nice assortment of keurig coffees, teas and cold water always available. We turkey felt like we had the place all to ourselves.

Was an awesome quirky in that allowed so much freedom and privacy. We were tested all the information for our room and greeted at breakfast like we owned the place. Such a fun and different place I would gladly go back again! If you need a place in NOLA this is it!!!

Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast

"Stay here. You won't regret it."
My wife and I stayed at the Avenue Inn in December 2014. After spending a couple of days looking online for hotels and bed & breakfasts, I settled on the Avenue Inn because of its excellent reviews on Yelp and elsewhere. The reviews are completely accurate and I don't have one negative thing to save about the Avenue Inn. Joe and Bebe were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. Even though we arrived on Christmas Day, they offered to call us a cab to take us to dinner and took time to tell us about New Orleans, the Avenue Inn, and some of the tours we could do. We only had breakfast there twice but both times it was very good. They offer a continental breakfast that included pastries, coffee cake, apples, bananas, toast and bagels, and the usual coffee and fruit juice. They also offer free bottles of water and other snacks (granola bars, fruit cups etc.) that are available at any time. The Inn's location was perfect for us because, although we liked visiting the French Quarter, we didn't want the noise and hustle and bustle of sleeping there. There is a streetcar stop right outside that will take you into the French Quarter. The New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Restaurant next door was also surprisingly decent but, as it's a chain, you'll find better places in the French Quarter. You'll find cheaper places than the Avenue Inn in New Orleans but I doubt you will find many better.
