“LOVED THIS HOTEL!”
Nice and quiet, beds were SOOOO comfortable, i am actually going to call up there and see what kind of beds those were! Rooms were very clean as well.
“Great Hotel”
I was really impressed with how nice the hotel was for the price. It is in a great location with restaurants like Outback Steakouse, P.F. Changs, a great Thai place really close. It was really nice to be so close to everything we wanted to do in New Orleans (it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the French Quarter) but to be in a safer neighborhood than if we chosen to stay in New Orleans. The staff was nice and our room was clean. It was a good hotel experience.
“Not Impressed”
From a service perspective, there were three things that were unacceptable to me. 1. Twice, during my 3 day stay, housekeeping attendents dragged a large garbage collection bin into the elevator, alongside hotel guests already in the elevator, making it necessary for the guests to huddle together to accomodate the large garbage bin. Could Housekeeping not wait for an empty elevator? 2. The service staff (7 people) sat down at a large table in the dining area together and proceeded to pull out their brown bags and have dinner, laughing and joking among themselves. Very disturbing to hotel guests at nearby tables. 3. No valet service.
“Near the fun”
Overall, the hotel was very nice. It was several miles from Bourbon Street at about half the price of the hotels on Bourbon Street. The hotel was pretty clean with a nice entrance and large suite. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to those who are trying to watch their budget, but want to be near the fun. If you are going to Bourbon Street and will need a cab, the fare was about $30 for only a few miles; that was the only downside.
“The only place I stay when in Metairie.”
My hotel stay was as good as it always is when in Metairie. The Best Western is where I stay for a weekend getaway as well as when I ride on Mardi Gras Day. The staff is always polite, with the execption of one or two of the female guest service staff members. I'm greatful that I don't have to deal with them when the young man that usually works there is on duty.
“Can't wait to go back.”
I enjoyed my stay at the landmark hotel and will return on my next vist to the city .
“Pleasant stay”
The room was very large and clean. This being my first time visiting New Orleans I was giving great choices to visit. Although the location is great because it's in between the airport and downtown New Orleans, there was a bit too much construction going on by the highways. I will also say the restaurant in the hotel is not appealing. I would recommend going out to eat.
“great place to kick off your shoes and relax”
Room was clean, hotel was quiet with excellent accomodations. Food was good, parking lighted and safe. Hotel was close to the downtown and shopping and best of all, price was great.
“Mardi Gras 2010”
Staff was friendly, we hand no problems at all. We will be back later this year. we plan on making this our new place to stay while in the New Orleans area, as they are very close to friends and shopping
“will be back next mardi gras”
Clean, comfortable and affordable.

Metairie, Louisiana, United States of America: Although the well-kept homes suggest that all is prim and proper, affluent Metairie has a wild side. Along with its drive-through daiquiri stands, Metairies Fat City rivals Bourbon Streets bars and clubs. One of its main attractions, however, offers solitude and peace. Just outside the city limits, the Metairie Cemeterys graceful marble tombs and statues make it one of worlds great cemeteries.
