Smaller then expected. No parking

Posted Feb 27, 2015
They claim that they provide parking, well it was a pain to fond it. One night we had to ask the company to help me so we wouldn't get towed! Not newly renovated the rooms at least! Altogether ok for price...but I wish it was mor like the pics that they provide!! Staff was very nice though!

Hotel Rugs Were Filthy!

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: The bed mattress was comfortable.
Location: The location is perfect for a tourist from out of town. The rates are reasonable. Free parking is a good thing in the N.O. area.
The rugs were very dirty. In one spot there was something like gum stuck to the rug. The blanket stunk like a woman's makeup indicating to me that it had not been cleaned in a long time.

Trampled by the wildebeest

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Location: Could not be a worse location - the 10 overpass @ Veterans. Miss it getting off the highway and you will have to get back on the highway for a 2nd try
Mardi gras weekend so some calamity expected but not this. People shrieking at all hours, children yelling at the top of their lungs in the stairwells, TVs blasting thru the walls. Small beds with seemingly beveled edges - a couple times I rolled right off. Do not stay in the courtyard part of this hotel. People at front desk seemed spaced out - line piling up while one gabbed on the phone, another just stood there staring at the floor. Very good breakfast buffet, though the staff will complain if you try to leave with food, bring it to your room, ect...even though we brought our plates and silver back. No one said squat to the people wigging out in the courtyard 24/7.

Nice hotel

Posted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: Big plus-shuttle to port (we didn't know ahead of time.) and airport (which was one more good reason to stay at this hotel.)
Cons: Only negative comment- it is hard to find directions to the hotel even with a GPS and the taxi drivers don't know where it is.
Location: There are nice restaurants in the area, but it is a little far to enjoy New Orleans itself.
Nice hotel, very clean and comfortable. We arrived hours early to leave our luggage and they allowed us into our room immediately.

Quick New Orleans Getaway

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: The mattress!
Cons: Directions to the hotel from the Interstate.
Location: We were there only for one night however there was a nice mall across the street with plenty of shopping and dining options.
My wife and I booked a room last minute here and could not have been more pleased. The convenient location, room cleanliness and friendly staff made for a pleasant weekend getaway. We will certainly stay here upon our return.

Good experience but expect to pay a lot in cab fair due to distance. Also sometimes very difficult to get a cab back. Waited 2 hours one night

Changeover Problems

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Have stayed here many times when it was the Ramada Limited (now changing to Country Inn and Suites) and it was great--comfortable, located with easy access to every where and a good value. The race to get everything updated for the switch over has made it less than "great," however. Construction going on, court yard area inaccessible, updated rooms with issues, etc. Hope it's better after the transition.
