Changeover Problems

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Have stayed here many times when it was the Ramada Limited (now changing to Country Inn and Suites) and it was great--comfortable, located with easy access to every where and a good value. The race to get everything updated for the switch over has made it less than "great," however. Construction going on, court yard area inaccessible, updated rooms with issues, etc. Hope it's better after the transition.

Will be nice when renos finished

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Well locales, and a nice pool.
Cons: Soundproofing and wifi.
End of November 2014, this hotel is under renovation. It will be very nice when finished. Two n├ęgatives: one is wifi going on and off constantly. The other is very pour soundproofing. There was a communicating door between us and the next room and it was as though the people were in our own room, plus we could hear different people from other rooms via the bathroom ventilation.

What a joke.

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Small rooms, small beds, tv kept cutting off randomly, the gym equipment is broken, and the elevator is broken.

Nice Place!

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Rooms spacious and clean; staff friendly; nice amenitites
Cons: Parking
Location: Near interstate, nice shopping mall and restaurants
We spent two days at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find the amenities included a microwave & fridge, along with a nice free breakfast as the website did not list them. Our room and bath were both large and very nicely decorated. Beds were extremely comfortable. Staff very pleasant at check in and check out. The only problem we found was limited parking, but, it would not keep us from returning.

mixed feelings

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: near highways
Cons: finish remodeling. improve breakfast offers (will happen I presume, when remodeling and new owner takes over.
Location: there is shopping near by, but getting to it is a real problem
hotel in middle of complete remodeling, loud construction sounds, debris/boxes, etc around. However, room comfortable, breakfast acceptable. commode seat needs fixing.one curtain torn. photo of outside is misleading, shows building from very advantageous angle, but not surroundings ( light industrial, and situated just under major expressway. nevertheless, our room was acceptable, tv worked, lot of hot water, clean linens, comfortable beds, and at $107, ok.

Pros: convenient and the rate was reasonable
Cons: upgrade facilities!
Location: close to everything in Metairie. right off interstate
The room we had was a one queen room. It was in the courtyard building. The room was very small with very basic features. It looked like it had been partially renovated. The courtyard area was under re-construction. The workers were working outside our room and it was difficult to rest for a short while before we headed out to a big wedding. My brother had a room in the Main hotel. It was supposed to have 2 beds but one of the beds was missing. His room was a little nicer. It had a dorm size fridge with microwave set on top of it. The rate was good, but the condition of the entire facility was disappointing.

Nice hotel currently undergoing renovations

Posted Nov 5, 2014
Hotel is located off the parkway with easy access to airport and New Orleans. Renovations appear to be ongoing as hotel changes ownership, and work can be relatively loud during the day; however, our stay was brief and we were out exploring the city during the majority of the day. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and bathroom amenities were well-stocked. Property is gated with card access, which creates feeling of security. Looking forward to returning once renovations are complete!
