Business in N'awlins

Posted Feb 13, 2015
I travel to New Orleans and the surrounding area frequently. The downtown hotels have become ridiculously expensive. This hotel was clean, safe, and relaxing. The only con is that you're at the foot of one of the runways of New Orleans Int'l Airport. But while I could hear the planes taking off, I soon found myself not noticing them. And after about 10:30PM, the flight frequency slows considerably. Slept really good. Very nice hotel. Great breakfast and supper buffet.

excellent overall but noisy fridge and fan

a free shuttle (a big van) was very comfy; airline flight attendants also stay here; but the ventilation fan and the noisy were quite noisy

A gem at the end of the runway.

Walking in, I was greeted by the feel of being home due to expansive and bright lobby and restaurant. Planned to dine out but met another guest who recommended the hotel eatery. Best hotel food I have ever eaten. I have chemical sensitivities but this is the first hotel that was free of strong chemical and fragrance smells I have experienced in years. Very comfy and clean room. Disappointed to learn the hotel will become a Radision hotel as I feel this will change to home vibe and affordability of current Country Inn affiliation.

Good hotel near airport

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Convenience. Good breakfast.
Cons: Maids should be told to run hot water in shower and report dials that do not allow hot water to come out.
Location: Was there on business in Metarie.
I am writing for my husband. He thought location was good. His room was fine but he had no hot water. The first text said, "hot water in sink but not tub." His second text said he was going to move rooms and on his last night around 10 pm, they moved him to a room with hot water in the shower.

hotel pick up bad

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Decor
Cons: shuttle
Location: close to airport but far from down town
The shuttle from the airport was a very long wait. This was not like the other hotels and also I had to take a taxi to down town.

very pleasant experience

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: location, staff, overall impression
Cons: breakfast is just standard - OK but could be improved.
Location: a bit far from New Orleans downtown, need to either take a bus or grab a cab, so prepare either time or some money ($33 to downtown + tax)
overall the experience was very satisfying. Hotel is very close to the airport and the shuttle is convenient. Staff were all very warm and professional, and they actively follow up with our travel plans and details of our tours, helped us quite a bit. Room condition is very good and comfortable. Wifi is very fluent and never had any problem. Highly recommended for all types of travelers.

Would stay again

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: VERY clean room; Indian food
Cons: Staff could be a little friendlier
While I wouldn't call the staff friendly, they were professional and prompt. The room was VERY clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves reasonably priced Indian food, which was a very pleasant surprise. I was very pleased with the room and intend on booking there the next time I am in New Orleans (which is a few times a year).
