Middle of the city and action, but quiet place to get away to. Would definitely stay here again.

Courteous staff

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Courteous staff, front desk accommodated our request for early check in, answered all our questions and tended to all our needs. Bell Desk was excellent, Derek and Big John gave us recommendations for local restaurants that were dead on. They were patient, informative and always took the time to point us in the right direction. Next time I visit New Orleans I will stay at the Crowne Plaza.

Not Worth It

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
Found bed bugs. No refund. Hotel tried to tell us it was just a beetle. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else, this place was awful.

Poor cleaning standards, bad room service

Posted Oct 13, 2014
The location of the hotel is on Bourbon St, which makes it convenient. 1. House cleaning. The rooms (I stayed on 6th floor, for 3 nights, in case it matters) were not cleaned until after 5pm. The shampoos and conditioners were not refreshed until I specifically asked for it. The bed sheets I slept on had tears in them. The cover on top of the bed had questionable stains... 2. Room Service. I was here on business. I ordered room service. It was late at night, Thursday. Called room service twice - no one picket up. Checked with concierge, and was told matter-of-fact-ly that I should be dialing 0 to order anything now, "Duh". I opened the Late Night Dining menu and dialed 0. I asked for a soup and salad on the menu. I was told they don't have it. I asked for a different salad from that same menu. I was told they don't have it. I was told to consult the menu. I told them I was. Then I was told I was looking an an outdated menu. I was looking at the only menu I had in my room. You get the idea. Caesar salad I received had very tired looking leaves. Oh well. 3. Wireless internet. I had to spend 20 minutes with tech support to get it working, but once you do, it is nice - free and slow. Except for I had a charge for long distance call I was transferred to on my bill. It was taken off, but still... 4. It rained, but the hotel had no umbrellas for their guests. 5. The rooms are spacious, but that's not enough to make me consider ever staying here again.

Dear Marina, We appreciate you taking some time to write us feedback regarding your recent visit. I am sorry to hear all of these problems you encountered. We are currently working on rolling out a new housekeeping cleaning system to ensure a more timely and efficient cleaning. It should be in full swing in about another week. I am sorry about the outdated menu in your room. I will be contacting our Food and Beverage Manager to let her know that we need to check all rooms to ensure the right menus are available to our guests. Additionally, I’d like to apologize that the internet took 20 minutes to get working. I am glad to hear that the front desk took care of the long distance call to tech support and that you enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms. I do hope you’ll consider coming back to see our changes implemented – especially with our housekeeping team. Thank you

Nice place, awesome staff.

Pros: The staff was my favorite thing. They were friendly and attentive.
Cons: Room service charges
Location: If you are into bourbon street activities,it is right there. Nice antiques and other shops in walking distance.
The staff was overall exceptional. Very comfy room. Beware of hidden costs when ordering room service, a gratuity is automatically added plus a delivery charge and some stated as "other charges" and we tipped in cash also (I am a good tipper and that was too good a tip!) otherwise I would definitely stay again if I go back.

Busy when checked late, staff curt but probably they are used to unruly guests from Bourbon Street. Price of parking was $39 instead of $34 as per Expedia. All in all expensive but great to be able to be able to stay around the corner from Bourbon Street.
