They look like they were in the process of updating other areas, but the room was sub par.

Hotel was like a motel 6 or econolodge.

Posted Nov 14, 2014
It was nothing like we thought it would be. The tv was broke down an didn't work. The microwave was nasty an smelled. The towls was not white. I wouldn't recommend nobody to stay here spending 180 for 2 nights, an 50 deposit like it was luxury. No.

Hotel was clean and comfy. Had all basic amenities we needed. Front desk staff was not friendly and welcoming. $20-25 cab ride to bourbon st.

Not really a FREE breakfast!

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Our stay was not that good, with lots of noisy parties in the halls and outside our window on the ground floor. Calls for help to the front desk went unanswered. While the hotel maybe couldn't control the crowd due to the VooDoo Fest, they could do something about the less-than-honest claim of free breakfast. There is actually an IHOP adjacent to the hotel. You have to ask for a voucher at the front desk, then wait to be seated by the restaurant. The voucher is only good for toast or a bowl of oatmeal and a glass of juice - not really a continental breakfast. PLUS it says gratuity is not included. This wasn't a huge problem for me and my husband, but if you are traveling with a family and expect to avoid the cost of breakfast for your group, don't be fooled. It could cost you a good deal extra!

Nice Hotel.

Pros: The staff, the cleanliness,
Cons: You really need to do something about your so call "Continental Breakfast" REALLY! One biscuit and coffee? Ridiculous!!!
Location: Well, in our case, we were not looking for any things to do, but we did drive down to the casino for a little while.
I was especially impressed with the young lady at the front desk by the name of Carlatta Hite. She was so helpful and sweet. We were in for the furneral of a family member, and her sweet, uplifting personality made our reason for coming to such an event so much more bearable.

Decent Hotel, Parking Lot needs repaving!

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: The beds were comfortable and I loved that there was a Denny's on the premises.
Cons: The hospitality of the front desk.
The room itself was nice, but the lady at the front desk was rough. She barely spoke and once she gave us our key cards, we went to the room and I couldn't get them to work. We were exhausted but I took the VERY SLOW elevator back down to the first floor so she could fix them. She informed me it wasn't the key. You have the turn the handle up...not down, to get in the room. She then said EVERYONE has this problem. Okay...why didn't she tell that to begin with? She found this amusing, I did not. Other than that the stay went well. The only other issue was the parking lot. It's in really rough shape and needs to be paved...and it's really dark and a little scary. There seemed to be some construction work so maybe they're working on it. On the up side, there is a Denny's connected to the hotel, super plus there!! Loved that!
