Disappointing Stay

Hotel does not have the amenities I come to expect from Doubletree. No fridge in the room. Needing to pay for parking. Old and tiny rooms. No hot-tub. Yeah they gave out cookies - but only on the first day of our 6-day stay. Staff was not friendly. They would'nt even lend us a can opener.

Staff awesome! 3 rd stay. Like atmosphere and loca

Would like laundry facilities for guest. We traveled with carryon and stayed 4 nights, would have been nice to do laundry at hotel to help with packing light. Must hotels offer this service now with new regulations with suitcase size and cost.

I just recently stayed at the Double Tree for a cheer competition that was held at the UNO Lake Front Arena. Compared to other hotels in Metairie I would have to say this one is one of the better places to stay. It is clean and most of the staff was very helpful and courteous. The first night was not good because there were teenagers running up and down the halls screaming and slamming door. The walls are very thin so I didn't sleep good. I ended up talking to a nice man at the front desk who said if that ever happened again I should call 0 on the phone, let them know, and security will be there immediately. One other thing that was annoying is you had to swipe your card to get in and out of the parking lot, but a lot of the time it wouldn't work. I could see ppl stopped at the gate for several minutes trying to get out. If you card doest work they want you to pull a ticket from the machine go to front desk to have is verified and then go back to the entrance to parking lot to put ticket through machine. There has to be a better way. I made sure to slide my card very slowly each time and that kept me from having to go back to front desk. With all that said the bed was very comfortable. I also liked the refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot! This is my first lengthy review. I hope it was helpful!

Good for the price

We arrived to hotel at 8pm and they told us they didn't have anymore rooms with 2 queen beds. We ended up with a king and a pullout. The pullout was not very comfortable. They told us we can request for a double the next day but we were not guaranteed one. We had to call and check at 12 to see if they had cancellations. The keys did not work for the outside gates. We had to call to let us in and out. Sometimes we would have to buzz them 3-4 times. The hotel was good for the price.

Awesome experience.

Pros: Good location....close to the airport...friendly staff.
Location: Good local cuisine nearby.
We were surprised to find that the hotel offered shuttle service not only too and from the airport....but also to nearby locations...restaurants....shopping, etc.

Wish you have transportation for your customers taking to the city and back...it took me over an hour to find a taxi to take me back to the hotel.
