“Hotel does not provide transportation”

Getting to the hotel was a nightmare due to a name change from Americade to Econo Lodge. My cab driver charged me additional money because he could not find it even with a GPS because the new Econo Lodge sign on the hotel was ridiculousy small. The hotel can be seen better from Williams Blvd. than from Veterans. I'm sure by this writing the new sign is up and the cabbies in New Orleans would have no problem finding it. I recommend this hotel as it is newly renovated, has a restaurant and the rooms are wonderful. The staff is very helpful.

“A terrific hotel for a terrific price.”

I thought this was a fantastic hotel to stay in. The location was perfect, it was a very short walk to the french quarter, yet still on a quiet street. The room was beautiful with the high ceiling, and the king-size bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant offered a great menu. I will definately return.

The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The room was excellent for the money I paid, and the hotel was locate next door to a wonderful restaurant and five minutes from the airport. PERFECT for what I wanted. Thank you, Expedia!

“Not as bad as earlier reviews...”

Even after reading questionable reviews about this property, we decided to take a chance on it since we were going to NOLA for Jazz Fest and would only need the room to sleep. We were quite pleasantly surprised. the room was in excellent condition, especially considering the earlier reviews. The staff was pleasant enough, although they weren't very helpful about where we might be able to grab a late night bite to eat (FYI there's a 24 hr diner just down the street - American something... pretty decent eats!!) Our room was clean, looked like it had been recently renovated, A/C worked well, shower was clean, although if you need extra towels (which you probably will) make sure to ask the front desk EARLY because they run out and don't have keys to laundry to get more and you're pretty much SOL. The breakfast was a bit lacking, but for the price of the room compared to other properties, who can complain, especially when you can just hit the Quarter and get a proper Nawlins breakfast? A pleasant experience overall I would recommend this property if you're just looking for a place to crash. Also, even though we were close to the airport, we didn't hear the planes at all. I don't think they fly at night. ;-)

Hotel room was ok, nice and spacious. Lots of noise from nearby airplanes, though.

Nothing fancy here, but nice folks, comfortable bed and extremely convenient to the New Orleans airport. All rooms overlook a beautiful courtyard with big pool ringed by palm trees. The free breakfast was minimal, but the coffee was good (as it is most places in NOLA). Very convenient, too, to Lake Pontchartrain casinos and Kenner's Rivertown, which is definitely worth a visit. All in all, the hotel was fine for the price. I'd stay there again.
