Best hotel to stay in on our week long trip
Posted Jan 18, 2013
Clean, temperature controlled thermostat. Didn't feel stuffy like the other hotels we were in. Room we were in didn't feel old and a lot of space.

Great Service, convenient parking
Posted Jan 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Hotel was very close to the interstate but a bit tricky to get into and out of. After that, it was close to many nice restaurants and fairly close the New Orleans attractions. The beds we comfortable and the room facilities and appliances were functional. Parking was great. The breakfast was hearty and very well serviced by the friendly staff. Nothing extravagant, but a very good two night stay!

Clean rooms, comfy beds, and convenient location

I shared a room with 2 friends and we had a very comfortable stay. Everything you expect in a Hampton Inn: friendly service, hot breakfast, clean and comfy rooms. Free parking in the garage, and close to I-10 expressway. 15 minutes or less to the airport or french quarter. Lots of restaurants nearby. There is a free airport shuttle and a free one-way shuttle to the french quarter in the morning. We didn't take it, but it seemed like a great feature in case my friends and I wanted to split up during the vacation.

Good property, great location

Overall good. I would stay there again. Staff great. Breakfast was hot. I did not use the exercise room but they had a treadmill and (I think) an eliptical. I was in room 100, just off the lobby. Probably not the best room cause there was some pounding next door like someone was dropping furniture. I think it was part of the hotel utilities. Anyway, it did not last long so I was not bothered by it. Location: great to get to it, just not as easy to leave due to the (current) one way streets. You could walk to Lakeside Shopping Center. Pricing was in line with the area.

Pros: Bed, breakfast
This hotel is located at Metairie, a lovely area located at approximately 8 miles from the French Quarter. I-10 is right by the hotel. The service was great and the breakfast fantastic -loved the omelettes. My husband is very selective with beds, and the bedding at this hotel was extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel is also great -right across a mall. On Veterans Hwy, you can find find many places to eat, including the famous Cafe Du Monde -the most popular location is in the French Quarter, but there are a couple of locations on Veterans (we went to the stand alone location). In that street, we stopped at a couple of grocery stores and purchased local spices, Cafe Du Monde coffee, and beignet mix to bring home and bought a couple of king cakes for the family. Also on Veterans is the famous ACME Oyster House. The wait was long, but the food was good. The grocery store where I bought the king cake was next door to the oyster house. Overall, a great stay at New Orleans -don't miss Royal Street and its street performers -bring cash if you want to purchase CDs from streret performers -we heard some amazing ones on this street, take the steam engine boat on the Mississippi and catch a movie at the Imax (we watched Hurricane on the Bayou -great movie). We went to a basketball at the arena, visited the Garden district to view the majestic houses, and went to a couple of cemeteries -there are some impressive ones off I-10 as well, but these are not the historic ones.
