“Looking forward to a return visit!!”
The hotel was very nice about securely holding our luggage while we took one last visit into the French Quarters.
“Pleasantly surprised”
We were not expecting too much seeing as this was a downtown hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall stay. The staff was welcoming, our room was large with a view and there was a band playing outside which we enjoyed. Our only issue was breakfast was cold.
“Great place”
We got into the hotel at midnight and the staff was quick to help us and very friendly. The room was clean and confortable and even though the hotel was full it was quiet. Its 2 blocks from the French Quarter in a decent area and the street car stops 1/2 a block away. All in all a nice place to stay
“Would stay there again”
We were very happy with our hotel. The rooms were small and there was very little room to hang clothes. But overall we were pleasantly surprised. Location was great....just two blocks from Bourbon Street / French Quarter.
“Impressive and would go back!”
The entire staff from Valet to Desk were wonderful, very friendly. Breakfast every morning was very good. Hotel is in great location, Bourbon St. is just around the corner!
“Nice Hotel - great location”
The hotel was very close to Bourbon Street and the casino. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
“Nice Stay”
Good hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Location is ok- we prefer French Quarter.
“Great Location”
Location, location, location. Never a bad night at a Hampton Inn and breakfast is included.
“Great location - excellent value”
While the Hampton Inn on Carondelet wasn't my favorite New Orleans hotel it provides a great value at a very convenient location. It's in need of some freshening and the lobby hasn't got the wow factor that the more expensive hotels in this fabulous city do but the value considering the full breakfast included is definitely worth some of the sacrifices. One cautionary note: if you like a bright room, make sure you aren't butted up against a neighboring brick wall. My room was only about 5' from a brick wall and even at high noon on a sunny day you couldn't tell if it was day or night.
“Nice Hotel, OK parking”
When we stayed at the Hampton New Orleans it was only a week after Mardi Gras and it was still quite busy. Parking was kind of a pain because the trolley ran right in front of the hotel and we got stuck behind it a few times. We finally found the parking garage connected to the hotel, and the elevator from it went right into the building connected to the hotel. There was a small mall connected to the hotel which had a nice food court which we loved because we had been driving for quite a while and we were all hungry. Overall the stay was very nice and the hotel was walking distance from everything so we never had to get back into the car until we left the next day.
