further from airport than we thoughtPosted Jan 15, 2014
Pros: Staff was very nice!, Good food from food service.
Nice quiet area, near a casino on large lake. Did need to get cab to New Orleans which was pricey each way since hotel slightly further outside of New Orleans.

It was at a great location if we was interested in the casino and was disappointed that was under construction during our stay.

Major Construction NoisePosted Nov 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had just returned from 18 days travel and hoped to get some rest. We arrived at our room to hear hammering, chiseling and drilling. The vibration came down all the walls . It was so loud that we could not hear the TV. We could not sleep. I called the front desk and was told that remodel work was happening on the floor sbove us and that even if we changed rooms, there was no guarantee of quiet as the noise was throughout the entire hotel.Management dismissed the crew and sent them home early to insure quiet after two phone calls. Our complaint is two-fold. 1. Why would the hotel place us directly under this type of construction without any type of warning regarding the noise? 2. Why is there no notification on Hotels.com or Hilton's site about the renovation? We expected more from both.

Our stay was fine, but the hotel.com confirmation email had the wrong address for our hotel reservation, so we ended up going to 3 hotels before finding the correct one.

Very underwhelmedPosted Nov 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Many problems starting with check-in. While one receptionist was welcoming and friendly, the other one seemed to be upset that we were bothering her with checking in. Dinner at the hotel was average and the service was terrible. We waited 30 minutes after ordering to receive our food and there was only 10 other people in the restaurant. The waitress never came by to refill our coffee or water during this time. We asked to salsa and then had to go up and remind her (while she was visiting with someone while standing at the bar). Was also unimpressed as during our vacation we had stayed at Drury Inns for about the same price and they offered free full breakfast (this hotel charged) PLUS free evening wine, beer and drinks as well as a very substantial buffet. The bathroom tub did not drain during either of our showers leaving us in water up to our ankles and the room was very noisy. Both mornings we were awakened by the person in the room directly above - it sounded like they were stomping around, but it's probably just poor insulation. We were extremely disappointed by the entire stay.
