close to WWII museum

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: location, cleanliness
Cons: bar, beds, staff knowledge of area
Location: aquarium, riverwalk, Harrah's, WWII museum, close to transit for garden district and french quarter
Nice hotel close to WWII museum, riverwalk, Harrah's, and close enough to the french quarter. Could have let us know beforehand that the spa would be closed, beds were hard, bar should be open later than 9:00pm

Enjoyed the in house restaraunt for breakfast and lounge. Very friendly staff. Good location overall but a but a bit of a walk to French quarter. Nice and quiet with comfy beds so had good sleeps. Definitely would recommend!

Bed Rock

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Room was dark and quiet. Of course you still have the people who have never stayed at a hotel that are standing in the hallway having conversations.
1. "Adjustable" mattress would not adjust. Bed was hard as a rock. 2. Very convenient to the convention center. 3. Not convenient to the French Quarter, Garden District or the Central Business District. 4. 15 minute walk to the closet streetcar. 5. Half-hour walk to the French Quarter. 6. "Smoking Oasis" in the courtyard? How about a Smoke-Free oasis? There's already enough second-hand smoke in New Orleans. 7. Very few eateries. 8. Parking is $35/day + plus tax. $35/day is exorbitant. This is not a downtown location. There's a parking garage 1/2 block away that is $10/day.

So close to Convention Center

Came for convention. Walking distance to so many things (Emeril's). Didn't use pool and dining. Staff always kind and helpful

Warehouse District New Orleans Hotel

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent restaurant food, the snack shop had well-priced treats (and free bottles of water), and there is an on-site ATM
Location: In Warehouse District with art shops and cute restaurants. Very close to the Convention Centre but not close to French Quarter. Trolley 8 blocks away.
The Hilton Garden Inn was a very nice hotel. Our experience was very nice, and we had a great time at the Hilton!

OVERPRICED MOTEL 4

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Small rooms, tiny bathrooms, smelly hallways. Way overpriced. There are many other hotels in New Orleans that are vastly superior for less money. I was unfortunate to have booked a weekend when everything was sold out around town. I should have stayed at an outlying Motel 6. They have better accommodations. Never again.

Friendly staff

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: Staff!
Cons: Make sure pantry and vending machines are better stocked.
Location: Location was perfect for the convention center and the Riverwalk. Decent distance from the French Quarter.
A group of 4 of us stayed for a week. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Keenan and Jonathan were great helping us set up tours. Keenan's recommendation for the Haunted History tour was awesome. I wish I could remember all of the names of the staff that helped us during our stay. My only negative was the availability of water over a couple of days. The pantry was out and vending machines on at least 2 floors were also sold out. Would definitely consider staying here again.

What hotel lacked, staff made up for

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Overall room was very nice, but first frig did not work. Replacement frig was set on 4 of 6 for cooling but froze all of our food solid...ruined. Staff made up for it w/ breakfast coupons and drink coupons. Made a bad situation better.
