“I'll definitely be back”
It was very good, they helped me to extend my reservation to stay in other hotels in the Hilton when there where not room. Thank you
“parties in suites not managed late at night”
We were awakened several times from 11:00 p.m. until midnight with noise from a party in the Governor's Suite. As lont as the partiers stayed intheir suite the noise was tolerable but they decided to take the party into the hall. This awakened several guest and eventually erupted into a fight in the hallway outside my room. After calling the front desk they sent up security (1 very small gentleman) to break up the fight. When I booked a room for this trip I chose the Hilton (a 4 star hotel) because I knew that my family would be safe and I would not have to deal with situations such as this. I was extremely disappointed when the only response I got out of the front desk the next morning was "I'm sorry". They were not concerned with the safety or the comfort of their other guest. This is a location that I would not recommend to friends and family.
“Convenience by the Airport”
A good overall hotel however they did not have a Non Smoking room available as I reserved it. They did offer to move me the next day but, by then, I was used to the room. They said it had been thoroughly "scrubbed for smoke" but when I saw what they used (a tiny air purifier) sitting in a room door, I was not impressed. The staff however was very nice and cordial. I was provided complimentary breakfast coupons for all three nights as compensation for not having the correct room which was comfortable if a little smoky. I should say that the New Orleans Saints were staying there, practice camp just down the road just opening a couple of days before that. They wouldn't let me play (fortunately!) A good hotel, I would stay again.
“airport convenience”
great hotel for flights out in early am.....shuttle easy in and out food is good too!!
“Great airport location”
Located right across for New Orleans Airport, this a great hotel if you need quick access to the airport. There is only a Denny's nearby, outside of the hotel restaurant which I found to be pricey, for food.
“Great place to stay when flying into or out of New Orleans”
Clean, great location to airport.
“Do not recommend this hotel”
Booked a one night stay at this hotel because it was close to the New Orleans airport. Paid in advance for a king non-smoking room with guaranteed late check-in. I called prior to our arrival and was told there was a shuttle to and from the airport 24 hrs a day. We arrived at 12:00 midnight and I called the hotel to ask that the shuttle be sent. I ended up having to call back three times over the 40 minutes we waited for the shuttle. Each time they said it was on its way (the hotel is only 2 minutes from the airport). The shuttle never came and we had to pay a taxi 15 dollars to take us to the hotel. When we got to the hotel, they radioed the shuttle driver who lied and said he was there but there was no one to pick up. At that time of the night there is no way we would have missed the Hilton shuttle at the New Orleans airport - there was very little traffic. To top it all off the only rooms available at check in were smoking with two double beds. My wife and I were just back from our honeymoon in Europe and had been traveling for 12 hours - this was just NOT what we needed. At that time of the night, in that part of New Orleans, there are few options - so we stayed, especially since we paid in advance through Expedia. The room reeked so bad of smoke it was difficult to sleep. They gave us a free entree in their restaurant to try and make up for it, but this was all just too ridiculous.
“Good Value Hotel conveniently located across from the Airport”
A good place to stay - we booked for French Quarter Fest when the Quarter was booked up, and were pleasantly surprised. Had a rental car, a must for the 13 mile drive into the Quarter or Downtown area. Walls were a little thin - heard revelers at 2 a.m. one morning, and thermostat never did quite cool as much as we would have liked, but would stay again. Also the ATM was out of money on a weekday (odd), but room was kept clean daily and had nice smelling soap!
“Great Hotel to stay while in New Orleans”
Great Hotel to stay at. I will recommend it to my friends. The staff was very cordial and check-in was very smooth. The room was very clean.
“Fine hotel”
I was there on business. The location is convenient to the interestate system and the airport. The hotel is very nice and well maintained. Very comfortable.
