“hard to navigate to front desk front parking garage”
Once we arrived into the garage, it was difficult to find where we were supposed to park, since this was not just for the hotel. There were no signs directing us to the front desk. Once we found our way into the building, we still did not see the signs for the front desk. After asking the concierge at the front door, we rode the escalator to the the next level up and found the check in desk. There we found out about the $35 per day parking fee that we were not expecting. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The view was nothing to talk about but for the cost it was expected. The location was somewhat convenient to the locations we were planning to see. As said earlier, I only wish the parking and navigating to the room from the parking garage was more user friendly. Other than that, the hotel sufficed.
Area recommendations
If the purpose for the visit is sightseeing, the French Quarter seemed to be convenient, Most, if not all restaurants are within reasonable walking distance. Of course, some are farther than others. Bourbon Street and other tourist traps/spots are also within walking distance.
Dining
Bourbon House Seafood has excellent food and service. Kind of pricey, but worth it compared to other restaurants. Coop's restaurant had excellent food but the service and layout of the place needs improvement. All the other restaurants that I tried are not even worth talking about. Be prepared to wait in a line anywhere you go.
