Pleasantly surprising find!

Posted Jul 29, 2015
We checked in the lobby was lovely, especially for a Holiday Inn. Front desk staff were wonderful. We had the handicapped access room, which is a huge suite, with small dining area, living room, large bathroom, and bedroom. Everything was clean. Hallways on the 3rd floor could use a fresh coat of paint, since it didn't match with how nice the lobby or rooms are. Location has super easy access to I-10, and less than 10 minutes to French Quarter or City Park. Pool was, nice and went to 6 feet, perfect for my 9 yr old. This was a safe hotel for a Mom alone with a child. We weren't out at night.

Nice hotel; quiet area

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was pretty clean.
Location: We dined at two local restaurants there: Tic Toc Cafe and the City Diner. Both were within walking distance of the hotel. Good food and good prices.
We were in New Orleans for a quick girls' weekend getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The staff was overly helpful providing us with a lot of cool places to visit other than Bourbon Street.

Nice staff, old hotel, badly remodeled.

Posted Jul 20, 2015
There was an attempt at remodeling the entire hotel but it just fell short. The carpet was stained and smelled. The box spring was old and creaked, the bathroom water pressure was non-existent. Stay here only if you have no other option.

Pros: Friendly and helpful Desk Clerk, resturant staff and Bartender
Cons: Having rooms ready by check-in time 3:00.
Location: Not sure
Friendly staff but room wasn't ready by the time I arrive at 8:00pm and check in time was scheduled for 3:00pm.

Great Hotel. I recommend it.

Posted Jun 17, 2015
If you have a car. I recommend this hotel. It is a 5 minute drive from a mall & plenty of restaurants and shops. It is about 15 minute drive from French quarter. You can find 15$ whole day parking in French quarter. So no big deal. The gym in the hotel is small though.

Pros: The spacious room/suite was great
Cons: Communication of hotel staff. Additional shuttle accommodation for guests. Available information regarding public transportation.
Location: Nice mall nearby.
The overall experience was good. The wait time for shuttle pick up from the airport was long. Other area hotels had come and gone at least 5 times before one arrived from this hotel. No shuttle service was available for other destinations such as to the mall that was 2 minutes away, downtown and/or the Jazz and Heritage Festival. Communication was lacking which nearly caused me to miss my departing flight. When I inquired about shuttle available I was simply told it was available 24 hours a day. When I went down the morning of my flight I was told it could only leave once an hour on the hour. After much discussion, I was offered a paid cab that allowed me the time needed to check in, go thru security and make the flight timely. This was greatly appreciated. There was no information readily available regarding public or other transportation options.

Jazz Fest 2015

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: clean, quiet, reasonably priced
Cons: The staff didn't offer alternatives that were available for Jazz Fest transportation.
Location: Acme Oyster House, Drago's, reasonable drive to the French Quarter
We went to New Orleans for 3 nights to attend Jazz Fest. This property was a great value compared to the ridiculous rates being offered downtown.
