It was great, nice rooms and polite staff. It was very close to the event and we could walk there and back. It was also close to Sports Bar to watch games.

The hotel was closest to the Superdome but a bit farther away from most of the tourist attractions than what we anticipated. The hotel pool (rooftop) was nice, though.

I’m so glad your visit to the Crescent City was enjoyable! I apologize you felt the other attractions were a bit far away. However, there are some easy and affordable choices for transportation in our area. The Loyola Ave Streetcar line picks up 1 ½ blocks in either direction from our front door! A mere $1.25 per ride or $3 for the entire day, hop on and hop off as much as you like! Our bell staff are also happy to hail taxis which would likely be under $10 to the French Quarter or Riverwalk areas.Thank you for reviewing our hotel!

Good view of Superdome

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Nice hotel, stayed on top floor and had a good view of Superdome. Hotel needs some updating. Staff was nice. Parking was spendy for no major events going on downtown during my stay. Only complaint was the slider door going to balcony didn't even shut completely and had some sort of bar to hold door shut but that was broke off as well. I didn't use the workout facility or pool but when you get out of the shower you will smell like you have been in the pool all day due to the overwhelming odor of chlorine in the water.

Beware - Secret Charging

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Room excellent, location at edge of French Quarter fine and handy for the railway station.
Cons: If they are going to charge then they must be honest about the charging; which they certainly were not.
Location: Adjacent to the touristy bits of New Orleans and within easy walking distance of the railway station.
Beware that although they say they only want a swipe of your credit card for any extras they actualaly deduct $30 from it and are exceedingly slow in reimbursing you this money even if you have spent nothing of it. From discussions with them this is supposed to be clear at the check-in but I certainly did not notice this and was unaware. Money refunded after more than a week which may prevent you from using this on a prepaid credit card during your holiday. So if you are asked for a swipe, then firstly resist and should that fail then ensure you have you one which you can accept the delay whilst that have your money for nothing!

I truly regret you were unaware of how a debit or prepaid card operates under authorization. There are signs on the front desk counter explaining the process, however, its not something the staff reiterate as this is a common form of payment. The $30 was simply an authorization for possible incidentals, a standard practice at all hotels. It is released upon departure if no charges are made, but it takes most banks 7-10 business days to release the hold. Once again, I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience it caused.

Only 2 blocks from Canal St, 4 blocks from the Superdome, and 6 blocks from the French Quarter! Our central setting warrants a leisurely stroll to any attraction of interest. Nice hotel in NOLA

Posted Jul 21, 2014
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Superdome for 6 nights. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is centrally located between the French quarter and the business district, but it is a bit of a walk to get to the French Market area or to the WWII museum. Be sure to use the trolly which is faster and reasonable. The resturant is ok, service is slow, so go out and eat elsewhere.

We appreciate you taking the time to review our hotel. The streetcar is a great alternative to walking, you can take a historical journey through the city for only $1.25 per ride or $3 for the entire day! The WWII museum is one of my personal favorites, it's wonderful to see you were able to enjoy this attraction! Come back and see us soon!
