Pros: Location, breakfast.
Location: Most attractions and places to visit are near, many within walking distance.
Only negative comment: the cold water in the shower only lasted for 70 seconds after turning it on. After that it was all hot water.

Overall nice hotel

Pros: The hotel appearance outside looked good and the music heard was wonderful. Pretty appearance inside for lounging while waiting.
Cons: The bathroom tub was not clean well last two days. There was no air circulation to turn on for foggy mirror.
Location: Love where hotel is located because local sites were easy to reach by foot, trolley or bus.
Hotel was lovely inside.. Love entrance to downstairs restrooms in lobby. Breakfast food service to room was good and food was delicious. Bathroom tub cleaning could have been better during the last two days of stay.

Overall, great experience! Breakfast Buffett wasn't what we wished for, but it was presentable and we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly! Great rates and great location for events at the Superdome/SmoothieKing Center!

Great hotel convenient to all of downtown

This hotel was excellent, within walking distance to the Superdome and convention center. The added bonus is the French quarter and Canal street was right there, along with great food nearby.

Very Nice Hotel With A Weird/Strange Phone System.

Pros: Very Clean Room, Courteous and Professional Staff.
Cons: Equipment in guess rooms need to be checked to ensure proper working order.
Location: Great location, only a couple of blocks from the Super Dome. Walking distance to Canal St. for Trolley cars to move from point A to B.
I really enjoyed the stay at Holiday Inn until Tuesday 07.07.15. That night the phone in my room started doing weird things. The speaker would come on by itself, sometimes I would hear a dial tone other times a busy signal and still other time speed dial or redial. I would pickup the handset then put it back in the cradle thinking this would stop it but it continued. I even tried picking up the handset while pressing the hangup button and the phone continued it's speed dial routine. Around 1:30 a.m. the front desk operator calls ( please keep in mind this is the one and only time the phone actually ring), so I informed the operator what was going on and she stated that her switchboard was very active. She also stated that the phones in the lounge were doing the same thing. I stated that I was afraid to take the handset off hook cause I had requested a 05:00am wakeup. The operator assured me that someone would wake me at the requested time. I got very little sleep that night. It was frustrating to dose off to sleep only to be awakened fifteen to twenty minutes later hearing phone's speaker giving a busy signal, a dialtone or a speeddial/redial tone.

Everything was tres cool. The Clarinet is what's happening. You can get everything done from this Superdome location. Right On!

Walking distance to SuperDome

My only complaint was that our room had no small face towels. We called and got them delivered, but almost 30 minutes later. Other than that I enjoyed my stay!

Pros: Housekeeping accessibility, staff (including maintenance and front desk), restaurant, bar, and decor.
Cons: The bartender Bydrow was not personable; you have to be personable to be in that position. They should get a Jacuzzi.
Location: Canal and Bourbon are really close. The superdome and casino and river walk are only a street car ride away!
This is a great hotel! The walk to Canal and Bourbon are not that bad. If you hate walking you can catch the street car which is only one block both ways. The decor is great and the pool is definitely as nice as the pictures. I would not bring kids who do not know how to swim that are expecting pool time because it starts at 4ft. The staff were great whether it was directions, recommending places to go, calling cabs, helping drunk locked out guests, or fixing whatever other problem. This is one of the first hotels I have stayed at that where the housekeeping is soo easily accessible ALL the time! I've traveled a lot since a child and this is very unusual to always be able to reach out to a housekeeper.

Not there fault but reality

Our room faced the opposite side of the property. Even though we were on the 15th floor we could hear everything outside. Until about 330 in the morning there were people hollering outside as they were walking by and motorcycles revving their engines and taking off really fast at the stop sign or red light. If you are going to stay at this hotel and not need to sleep is a wonderful place to stay. However if you need a good nights sleep and the that night was like the average night in New Orleans then you're gonna have trouble if you are a light sleeper.

Please know we're in the process of replacing balcony doors to help with sound reduction and our hotel maintains 24 hour security. Please consider a return visit, and we can certainly place you on the opposite side of the building per your request!
