The staff were great!! Very friendly!

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Housekeeping accessibility, staff (including maintenance and front desk), restaurant, bar, and decor.
Cons: The bartender Bydrow was not personable; you have to be personable to be in that position. They should get a Jacuzzi.
Location: Canal and Bourbon are really close. The superdome and casino and river walk are only a street car ride away!
This is a great hotel! The walk to Canal and Bourbon are not that bad. If you hate walking you can catch the street car which is only one block both ways. The decor is great and the pool is definitely as nice as the pictures. I would not bring kids who do not know how to swim that are expecting pool time because it starts at 4ft. The staff were great whether it was directions, recommending places to go, calling cabs, helping drunk locked out guests, or fixing whatever other problem. This is one of the first hotels I have stayed at that where the housekeeping is soo easily accessible ALL the time! I've traveled a lot since a child and this is very unusual to always be able to reach out to a housekeeper.

Not there fault but reality

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Our room faced the opposite side of the property. Even though we were on the 15th floor we could hear everything outside. Until about 330 in the morning there were people hollering outside as they were walking by and motorcycles revving their engines and taking off really fast at the stop sign or red light. If you are going to stay at this hotel and not need to sleep is a wonderful place to stay. However if you need a good nights sleep and the that night was like the average night in New Orleans then you're gonna have trouble if you are a light sleeper.

I'm terribly sorry for the noise encountered outside your room and any discomfort this may have caused. Please know we're in the process of replacing balcony doors to help with sound reduction and our hotel maintains 24 hour security. Please consider a return visit, and we can certainly place you on the opposite side of the building per your request!

Breakdown Blues

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: all the rest plus the sound proofing as there is important traffic noise, especially around 6 am.
Location: My favorites: Bourbon st (2X), Irving Mayfield Jazz Club in Sonesta Hotel, Oceana seafood grill Bourbon/Conti crossing, Magazine St, Sculpture Garden
Day 1 the safety box, day 2 the television, every day 3 x the internet connection....And every time it takes 3, 4 calls to get anyone doing something about it. In 6 days the bed linen was never changed and the room never vacuumed. The cherry on the cake: a $174 bill for parking, although I even did not have a car ! The master-boss should be sent sailing on Ol' Man River and replaced by someone with his eyes on the ball.

Great hotel far enough out of Bourbon Street

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Clean and comfortable beds.
Location: I liked the location. It is approximately a mile off Bourbon Street and the French Quarter away from the crowds.
The Holiday Inn-Superdome hotel was very clean. Each room is very spacious and comfortable. We stayed on the top floor of the hotel and had a balcony. The parking did cost $29 per night in a garage attached to the hotel. We always found parking directly next to the elevator in the garage which brought us literally 15 yards away from our hotel room door. I think it was worth it and convenient. There is cheaper parking at area garages, but those don't always have in and out privileges like this one. After reading other reviews, I saw that people were outraged by $29 per night for parking. Staying in any major city, this is what you have to expect. Chicago and New York charge almost $50 a night for parking at a downtown hotel.

Not satisified!

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The look of the hotel was decent.
Cons: It could of been cleaner. Even the linen was not that great. I was there over noight so, that's why it was ok
Location: I went to Burban street. I asked for directions and hoped in a cab
I was charged $ 30.00 dollors on my account and I didn't use anything. There was a huge spider in y bathroom. They gave me complimentary breakfast but, I paid for if I was charged $30.00.

I sincerely apologize you left dissatisfied. $30 per day is authorized for incidentals for all reservations, this amount will fall back into your account 3-5 business days after departure depending on your bank. A debit card does actually hold the funds, however, it is not a charge. Signs at the front desk explain this, I'm sorry for any misunderstanding.

Ligger lite offside

Posted Mar 14, 2015

Will Never stay here again

Rooms small. The bathroom even smaller. The house keepers were very friendly as well as a lady at front desk. However this place is WAY WAY over priced.
