Clean and updated hotel, close to downtown.

This hotel was comfortable and what you would expect for a holiday inn. The lobby and rooms were updated. It is located close to downtown and the superdome. Good hotel for the price.

Huge room, excellent location, great service!

Pros: Size and lay out of room, closeness to trolley line.
Cons: Really, nothing.
Location: 1.5 blocks from a trolly stop (the Loyola Line). This took you right down onto Canal street, and from there it was easy to go anywhere you wanted.
I stayed at this hotel to attend a conference a few blocks up the street, as it was a bit less expensive. The rooms were huge, modern decor, and very clean. We were a block away from a trolley stop which would take you right into the French Quarter and there were a few restaurants within a block or two that served decent food along with the hotel restaurant, all very important if you are hanging out in the general vicinity. We had plenty of room to stretch out and walk around. The desk/bureau set up was great too, as one of us was working from the room for 2 days and one attending a conference. We moved to a "swankier" hotel a few blocks away after the conference, and a had a much smaller, not nearly as nice room. Should I go to NOLA on vacation, I would stay here again due to the great rate, great room, and exceptional location in regards to the trolley line, which made accessing any part of NOLA very easy.

Pros: Comfy beds!
Cons: Staff need to be trained on customer service.
Location: Easy walk to Canal, but may be a bit far for some.
Hotel is in a fairly good location and is a clean building. However, majority of the staff were not great. Short and abrupt and acted as though everyone was putting them out. Had issues with not all of our food being delivered and was just met with a argumentative and upset employee. Concierge service was great the first day, but the second day we were brushed off as he sat on his ipad. We will not go back just because of the customer service.

close enuf to where we wanted to be - but the noise level was really bad... get new window and doors

Cons: lower shuttle fare to/from airport
Very helpfull Concierge, hotel restaurant, very good food hotel is close to French Quarter, easy ride, trolly or cab anywhere, waterfront, French Market, etc.

Comfortable bed, very helpful staff!

Pros: Very helpful staff. Friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on where to eat.
Location: Aquarium, Convention center, Near the French Quarter
Stayed here for a convention. A little far from the convention center, but only a 15 minute walk. Room was great, bed comfortable, A/C worked well, TV channel choice was good. Finding the entrance to the parking garage was a little confusing- maybe I missed a sign.

Short walk to the French quarter, great location.

The hotel was very good for location with it only being a short walk to the city's top spots, the staff could not do enough for you were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in New Orleans. The only thing to keep in mind is the short walk to the French quarter and at night you may not feel to secure walking around on your own,

Great for walking to Smoothie Center or Superdome.

Allowed early check in. Short walk to evening concert. About a 15-20 minute walk to French Quarter. Nice rooms for price. Restaurant food was good, but breakfast was incredibly slow! Breakfast bar would have been quicker but overpriced in my opinion.
