“Will be staying here for all NOLA trips!”
Overall, I feel the hotel was unbeatable for the price. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all of our needs, allowing early check-in and holding our bags after check-out so that we could continue to enjoy the city. They had helpful advice on how to check out the city and gave easy to follow simple instructions on how to get to various places. We had a courtyard facing room, which I recommend and did not hear the sounds off the streets at all. The only negative was wall thickness. It was very easy to hear our neighbors coming and going. But the courtyard with the heated pool was awesome, we were able to enjoy the pool despite temperatures in the 40s! Like I said, overall a great place to stay and it is right in the middle of the french quarter, so it's easy to catch all the action!
“Very convenient!”
Very glad with Le Marais. Great location and comfortable room.
“Beautiful Hotel”
We stayed for the Halloween weekend. The hotel was at full capacity and this did not affect the high standard of service. We were greeted by the staff at the front desk each time we entered or left the hotel. Between midnight and 6am you need your room key to enter the front door. So we felt very safe. Free continental breakfast every morning, which included fresh eggs, bacon and ham among the standard breads, cereal & fresh fruit selection. We also received one complimentary drink pass for each person at the beautiful hotel bar. Extremely clean hotel and comfortable beds. Only a block away from Bourbon St. but we didn't hear any street noise. Cannot say enough about this place.
“Renovated and Relaxing”
I was extremely pleased with my stay at Hotel Le Marais. The hotel was located PERFECTLY just South of Bourbon St and made for a very easy walk to the VooDoo Museums, Jackson Square, and the streetcar lines. I was also impressed with the style and cleanliness of the hotel. It was wonderfully modern and had all the amenities I needed. They even include free bottled water! The courtyard with saltwater pool was quaint (not for kids swimming, more of a "drinking pool") and the exercise area was extremely clean and useful. The rooms themselves are small, but very well laid out and all the furniture was new. Excellent TV selection, and the linens were always clean. My only complaints are really negligible. First, there is no working door on the showers, sometimes resulting in spillage onto the floor. Second, our room on the top floor had a strange "wall of sound" in one corner that could have been the air handler sitting on top of the roof. We tuned this out after an hour or two. I think we had a rushed maid one day as well, as our bed was hastily made and we were missing a few towels (this was only one day out of seven, so we excused it). However, my chief complaint is that the doors are THIN. Though the hotel itself is very quiet, we could hear EVERYONE who passed our door, and sometimes were alarmed because we thought people were opening our door when, in fact, it was the room adjacent to ours. We got in the habit of deadbolting our door. All in all, a positive experience!
“Highly recommended in the trendy part of New Orleans.”
This hotel is perfect for a couple or small family with older children. Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Location is perfect in the trendy French Quarter part of downtown New Orleans (although it is 100 feet away from Bourbon street so families with young children may find this confronting if you wonder out for a stroll at night). If you are looking for great night life and see some good bands, then this hotel is right on it's doorstep. The hotel is extremely well maintained and the rooms are beautiful. A nice touch is they include breakfast in your room rate and also bottled water in the room and have free wi fi. All up, I would highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay here when I get back to New Orleans.
“Fantastic Hotel! Best Location!”
The staff from start to finish was fabulous! My husband needed a dentist while we were staying in New Orleans, and the staff was wonderful locating a dentist for him! Definately stay at the Le Marias, you will love it!
“Wonderful hotel.”
The hotel is in a very convenient location to Bourbon Street and many other attractions. The staff were exceptional. They were pleasant, kind, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms were great. It was our first time in New Orleans and our location was perfect for exploring the city. I would definitely stay here again.
“Great hotel in downtown”
This hotel is in the middle of downtown, just a minute from Bourbon street away. It has a very nice design, the patio and the pool area are very nice. The rooms are small but new and with a non standard design. I would always go back its worth the price.
“Great Hotel”
This hotel is newly remodeled, very nice and modern. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The staff was great. Very good location, one block from Bourbon and two from Royal. Very much enjoyed Le Marais and would definitely stay again. Reasonable priced as well.
“It was what I expected”
It was our first time to NOLA..Pierre was so kind to offer the garden view..Thank you. Great city and people so friendly! The breakfast was great more than just a continental breakfast and yummy! Love that bacon, Just a recommendation for the bathroom, if you could install a shower curtain that would be better than having to put so many towels on floor .
