“Perfect location to everything”
Great Hotel, great staff, only negative is the courtyard can be noisy at night.
“Gem in the French Quarter”
Hotel Mazarin is a little gem of a hotel in a very convenient location. It was quiet and very pretty and allowed for easy travel to other neighborhoods as it was close to Canal street, which has many public transportation options. Burbon Street was close enough but felt far away in our clean, cozy room. We liked that the floors in our Petite King room were stone, no carpet, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Also, details like the free fitness center and the complimentary bottles of water stocked in the room daily were a plus. The continental breakfast was standard, eggs, bacon, grits, cereals, pastries, probably great for the average American diet, but we found it to be lacking in healthy options, such as soy or almond milk, a wider, better selection of fruits and whole grain breads. Overall, the hotel was a pleasant retreat from a long day (or night!) out in the city.
“Great Experience!”
Location is PERFECT. The staff is excellent and very helpful. The rooms are modern yet have a French Quarter feel. Great experience! I would recommend a normal room instead of paying extra for a garden view.
“We stay again”
My husband and I stay here for our Annoversary and the location is wonderful in theodore off everything.. Enjoyed the shower and the view. Breakfast is wonderful indoor or out I. The court yard .. Valet is great service is wonderful amazing stay you will not be disappointed
“Good Hotel for Couples”
We had a corner room on the 5th floor facing the courtyard. Though the hotel is right off Bourbon Street it is much quieter than where we usually stay on Bourbon. It was much easier to catch up on sleep after a late night out. Though our room was spacious, the hotel is cozier than some of the huge hotel's in the Quarter. The staff was helpful and friendly, even providing us a complementary hotel umbrella to use during a very rainy day. If the housekeeping staff had been a little quieter with their banter during morning cleaning it would have been perfect, though I didn't take off points for staff. The courtyard has a beautiful fountain which we enjoyed. I also recommend taking advantage of the tasty complimentary breakfast which is displayed beautifully off the courtyard each morning until 11:00. Patrick's Bar Vin is accessible from the court yard and the street. It was wonderful and I recommend it. We have decided to stay at Hotel Mazarin on our next trip if at all possible.
“Great Hotel for Ambience!”
Excellent staff and great surroundings. It was my wife and myself during our 14th anniversary. It was a great place. The only problem was the wi-fi service was very spotty. But that was really no big deal. If your comming down for Mardi-Gras or any other party activity. The location of this hotel is superb! The restaurants surrounding it is also very nice! Oceana'a one block over is the best crab cakes and catfish that I've ever had!
“Two thumbs up”
This is a great hotel. We hv stayed there when it was st. Louis hotel. It is a great location and now a very nice upgraded hotel. Very comfortable beds and beautiful surroundings. The free hot breakfast every morning was perfect after a night on bourbon.
“Ultimate New Orleans Experience”
The Hotel was well maintained with a friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast in the courtyard was a great way to start your day. The hotel is located one block of great place to eat, art galleries and Bourbon Street. No complaints!
“Perfect Hotel”
Everything was great. We were here 5 days and had an amazing time. Everyone at the front desk wers very informative as far as what to do and where to eat. The continental breakfast was hot and fresh every morning. The location was perfect for us. It sits a block off of Bourbon Street. I would recommend this hotel for anyone.
“A "Must Stay At" Hotel!”
This hotel was amazing. Right off of Bourbon Street and very luxurious. One of the first things that really "sold it" for us were the floors in the room which were black marble. The walk-in shower was done in the same marble, and it was truly gorgeous. We arrived on Saturday Oct. 27th and left on Monday the 29th. It was a fantastic stay and I was continually impressed with this hotel, I would absolutely recommend it to friends. Cons: Honestly, it is hard to come up with many cons for this hotel, but if I were being really nit-picky, here is what I would list. We did a LOT of walking while we were in New Orleans and it would've been nice to have a room with a nice tub so we could take a long soak. Sound carries, but that wasn't too much of an issue. There was some noise coming through the air vents but it pleasingly sounded like (drum) music and, given that you're in New Orleans and there is music everywhere, it wasn't bad. The "outside window" looked into the courtyard of the hotel - not necessarily a con, but just something I wasn't expecting at first. Pros: It is beautiful. There is off-street parking for while you arrive, and then the valet parks your car for you. The staff is wonderful. The room is gorgeous, the courtyard is gorgeous, it is all gorgeous, I really can't say this enough. The friends we travelled with stayed in another hotel nearby and were quite envious of where we were when they saw it. The location is great, we were grateful for it.
